Nymph is the pick of Day 3.
@OM, good one, nice editing. Kenny u r the funniest guy at PFC. I’m still laughing for Chipak Gaya…
@Vick ,

@ Vick editing and all by Dpac..this film was MADE on editing..it was sooo crappy(which it still is ehehe) that it was salvaged by our very own Dpac…tereko single malt on me..

Oh..ok
). Did you use any pro editing s/w or ?
@ Dpac, how did u put those 3 frames of overflowing water (or sex?
@Om,

@Vick
i used Aftereffects you can do it in Premiere too
Kyunki saans mein..ehehe Kenny..the funniest guy..behenchod..i wanna drink a beer with you…awesome sense of humor…btw..who is the lead female actor? she is hot ;)
Spic n Span was neat untill it became preachy..
Rumaal…eheheh gain..are you kenny’s twin?
Love letter…probs with subtitles with non-kannada speaking audience..and the music let me down
City of boiled beans is one of my favourite..puccablore ya hyderabad..lol!! love it
Why is it? Kyunki Saans bhi kabhi bahu thi…
It Could have been…Amit..you have a weird sense of humor..somehow..right now i cant get it..but..am sure when i get it i will be ROFLMAO..no disrespect..its a compliment

@DPac, thanks for the info..Is “The Shining” also your movie?
@ Vick. “Dpac, how did u put those 3 frames of overflowing water (or sex?
).”
Grrr.it is not sex…grrrr..dont believe Mitch..ehehe
loved ‘Kyunki Saans…..’, kenny shows the behind the scenes of Ekta’s serials. lovely yaar.
alos loved ‘why it is?’, nitesh yaar great way of showing the Indian obsession with cricket. mazaa aa gaya.
’spic n span’ was good too but more of a PSA.
the twist in ‘rumaal’ reminded me of last years ‘KLPD’.
the closing line of ‘unknown politics’ was superb.
‘bas kya’ was a good ‘issued in public interest’ movie. ;)
‘nazariya’, started of well. i loved the chant. but the ending was bad.
‘a flight with d fight’ could have been better. most of the time the writing on the paper was not visible. liked the different camera angles.
‘love letter’ was bland for me. didnt have much appeal. welcome to ‘pfc’pur
‘the city of boiled beans’ – couldnt make out what was written in the beginning.
‘children of labourer’ – kayoomji, you can be a very good documentary maker. seriously. liked it.
‘talking hands’ – Touch ho gaya by goad. my sympathies.
in the competitive section
‘the shining’ – rofl. K Adeep ji. mazaa aa gaya. nice acting. party is on yaar.
‘koga can’t save you always’ – wtf himanshu. when i read the name in the entries list last year, i was like wtf. what the shit is koga. damn good yaar. ROFL. mazaa aa gaya. acting could have been better. raita faila diya yaar.
‘nymph’ – safat bhai, as vikas kumar said, charan kahan hai aapke. one up on accident. great work yaar.
‘there will be blood’ was good, but somehow had a ’seen before’ feeling to it. maybe because i have heard (and read) too many similar jokes.
‘without cheese’, nice one gajendra ji. well shot. nicely acted.
‘chipak gaya’ didnt appeal to me. ‘kyunki saans….’ was way better kenny bhai.
shining…shining…the shining…!!!!!!! k.adeep..congrat.!!!
@OM, sabka “nazariya” alag alag hota hain..may be Mitch saw something I didn’t see for the first time..
vikas kumar,asit,vick,om,amit mishra…thanks..bhai logo..!
@OM
thanks for the compliments.
yaar i think of this as my worst work. i had just the concept. had to thrust upon the viewer everything through dialogue. how i wish i had the required props and locations.
Hint: its a play on ‘Chariots of Gods’ wrt Hindu Mythology
My comments on PFCONE DAY THREE
KYUNKI SAAS MEIN KABHI BADBOO THI
I liked the music. The lady performed well. Storywise, left me very empty.
SPIC N SPAN
Nice. A very true film. Something we see in India everyday. People take great pains to keep their homes clean, but refuse to clean or even behave clean a foot outside it. Good one.
A FLIGHT WITH A FIGHT
Good message. I like the look of the actor. Would have liked to see what inspired him to fight on.
RUMAAL
Tries too hard to be funny, but fails.
BAS KYA
Awesome! Well shot, and Om shows what he is capable of! Om, it is officially time to quit IT. Great concept for PSA!
LOVE LETTER
Interesting concept. I wanted to see more about the protagonist. Could have paced it faster to perhaps explore how he views this profession. Does he long for love? Or is it just a job?
UNKNOWN POLITICS
Intent and message is good. So is the writing. Could have been better acted. But good effort.
CITY OF BOILED BEANS
Ok. I am personally not a fan of films driven by voice overs. I feel film is a visual medium and images should drive it forward.
WHY IT IS
Intent and message comes across. But presentation lacks energy. The timing of the reveals. Good moments like the mother chiding the child for playing, the kids turning tennis into cricket etc. The payoff about Olympics could have been shown in a more interesting way, instead of relying on text. I repeat, film is a visual medium!
IT COULDVE BEEN
No comments.
NAZARIYA
What the fuck??? This film had me in splits!!! I am still laughing! Mithunda Mithunda is stuck in my head!!! Seriously! What the fuck? It’s one of those inexplicable ones…I am speechless! Again, I repeat…what the fuck???
CHILDREN OF LABOR
Good intent. But it doesnt make a good film. Tell me something I dont know. Or if it is something I know and you want to bring notice to it, then do so in a more interesting, creative manner.
TALKING HANDS
Brought me awareness to a small degree of something unknown to me. But I feel empty. Sure, the film draws sympathy, but judging as a film alone, without the sentiments attached behind it, I wish it explained more about the disease, about the boy through the mother’s testimonial, instead of text. I repeat – film is a visual medium!
THE SHINING
Kubrick this certainly aint!
KOGA CANT SAVE YOU ALWAYS
I liked this one. Good message, good humor. Some close ups of the actors faces would have added more flair to it. Comedic cutting can be worked on. Good one!
NYMPH
What is the filmmaker trying to say? Nicely shot though.
THERE WILL BE BLOOD
Funny, and good payoff. The timing of the payoff can be better to make it funnier than it is. Maybe a couple extra lines in the lead could have pushed it further. And then the punch could simply have been restricted to ONE shot where you reveal the guys face with the shaving cream, and girl with a razor. The moment I saw the guys face, I knew the joke and was laughing, so the shot that followed and “Maine kaha tha na, khoon niklega” was not needed at all. In comedy, cutting away at the right moments is key.
WITHOUT CHEESE
Very nice, simple, with heart. Very positive. Great job. Nicely shot too. NExt time, smoothen the ambient sound transitions between the cuts.
CHIPAK GAYA
Funny. Love Kenny’s expressions when he is asleep.
My favorite film of DAY THREE – I want to say NAZARIYA for all the wrong reasons….BUT to be fair, its a tie again, this time between BAS KYA & WITHOUT CHEESE.
OM kam se kam pani ki jagah dahi use kar liya hota.
That’s the lamest money shot ever.
Om, so ‘Bas Kya’ is ur film!! Not bad yaar! Loved the overflowing part n the punch at the end!
@ praveen Sirka……that was fucking hilarious…..hahahaha just cant get over mithunda mithunda mithunda….
@himanshu….too darn funny….rotflmao
@gajendra…fantastic…could totally relate to that one….
@kenny grt concept…
my pick of the day…gajendra and safat..
Yaar Safat ko ek special award dedo…
Wow, loving the films today, it just keeps getting better!
No Money Shots for me..if you get it..you know all about OLLO..common Mitch…dont you? eheh
@ Kenny: saas stinks real bad. it was kickass. knew such ma-behen spewing bitchy skanks a few years ago… nostalgik ho gaya yaara…
Safat is the discovery of PFC.
I think he should be FILMMAKER OF PFCONE. Something like Man of The Series.
Safat Bhai start making features now.
liked the kahani mein twist in ‘bas kya’ waah kya short banayi hai… waah kya short banayi hai
Thanks to all the people who liked “Nazariya”
It was very impromptu..
It was shot, edited and given a VO( also the concept) by a very good friend of mine “K”..Just “K”..all thanks to “K” just “K” to have worked on this on such a short notice..
It was a PJ..a bad at that..but “K” Just “K” did something cool, beyond my expectation..all thnaks to him/her
@ safat: guilt trip pe kaafi sochte hain aap… dilchasp… dilchasp.
@ Gajen: widout cheese ne senti kar diya yaar… reminded me of my kadki days when four square peeke lungs jalaya karta tha…
@kenny – I WANT THE CONTACT DETAILS OF SAVITA BHABHI !!! LOVED THE FILM …reminded me of francis mcdormand in Raising arizona (ok .ok….thoda zyaada bol gaya) ..but superb …and not just the acting …. :P

@talking hands – simple ..touching

@there will be blood – hahahahahahahahah nice
“ok lets do it” par twist reveal nahi karna chahiye tha yaar may be 3-4 seconds from then …
@without cheese – like koga..simple internet forward made into a nice film …well made ..kid was nice ….
Gajendraji yur enthu is infectious and enviable
@chipak gaya – hmmm kenny u sure having fun ehh ..i feel this should have been out of compttitioon and savita bhabhi film shldve been in competition …. but phir bhi …was hoping for a better pay off
SAVITA BHABHI !!! OMG ..STILL WATCHING THE FILM !
Safat, about nymph, I think it is your glimpse of vast and deep imagination. some one who is near about your vision, can touch this deepness, I was very lucky to get in touch with you, but what was the situation…….. An upcoming filmmaker came for editing tips to a struggling documentary maker. I realized your impatience on day one, and you came back next day with a short film promo. Keep this impatience alive, becoz life is too short if you live it, but life is too long if you spend it.
I am sure about nymph, that this will get recognition by jury members.
Congrats and best wishes
YAAR KENNY DEWAR KE ROLE MEIN MUJHE LE LETA YAAR ..
YEHI TERI DOSTI ..YEHI TERA PYAAR ???
@KK, Yaar now I know what woman do I have to look for you… ho gaya kalyan
kenny tu ne toh le li!! le li bhai saas bahu serial banane walon ki! gud job man!
safat bhaijaan loved the opening shot of ur film..n ofcourse the concept..mannequins are so well shaped :D hahaha.
@ Nitesh: real reasons r something else… parents these days r very enkouraging… especially after the celeb status achieved by all sportsmen… IMO, the SYSTEM doesnt support the players, cuz they r busy filling their wallets.
@ Avdhoot: KLPD ke liye aapko sazaa milegi… baraabar milegi. LOL. Nice One.
KENNY – you have created some serious problems in KK’s love life. Awesome.
Safat – I liked this the best….of you other entries. Superb!!!! and now the usual compliment….WELL SHOT!!!!…..envy you that by now we assume ur films will look great:)
OM – tu best hai!!!!!
Shining – surprised. NICE ONE
There will be blood – cheap thrills
Without Cheese – Iranian. Good Bank AD. Now a days all seem to have senti-smart children who know the worth of money…..mere desh mein paisa sirf paisa nahi hai. IDBI, ICICI, HDFC…:) LIKED IT VERY MUCH SIR….
KOGA – Internet script…..but can’t help but smile. Good UN
Ahhhh kenny kyunki saans was awesome savita bhabi was cute
, didnt like chipaak gaya that much…..
@ Himanshu: Koga reminded me of my fav TShirt quote – SAVE WATER DRINK BEER! i also think that when others should also have patted Koga’s back… the konnekt kud have been better. Anyways, glad u made it to the kompetitive sexion!
sorry the previous comment was me…..KK bloody did not log off.
@ Kenny: was savita bhabhi a spl tribute? wink!
Safatbhai
chha gaye ho!!!!
My sincere thanks to everybody for liking “Without Cheese”… OM… he is my partner’s son, Vijay… you really seem to have some nice speakers to observe ambience audio jerks, Trimoneo… double thanks for making it your pick of the day, Magik… Nice that you found it nostalgic, KK… the story may be an internet forward but my son actually suggested it from his class V textbook. Just thought to refresh simple things we tend to forget as we grow up (:))
@Kenny, I WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS… YOU HAVE INTRODUCED TO PFC IT’S FIRST SEX SYMBOL… SAVITA BHABHI… sorry for the caps… BUT BRING SAVITA BHABHI ON PFC… varna these people will eat up all my bandwidth… mujhpe rehem karo!!!
Vasan bhai… even I could not relate my film to the Bank Advt. But now I do it… very keen observation.
aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh savita bhabiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
@ Tony: yaar spik n span reminded me of some publik service messages that used to come on doordarshan… only that they were so hillarious, that people (like me) still remember them. there was one ‘ye hai mrs & mr bhalla’ & thyen there was the other one about ‘farak to padta hai bhai’. Damn, if nothing else, thank u for making me revisit those klassix…
Oz… your comment has made me laugh more than the film
@Gajendra
It was not shot at a restaurant but you managed
However, I am not sure if I have got it. The kid leaves the tip for the lady and doesn’t take chese, right?
@Koga- Himanshu

@Nymph – Safat miya, beautifully shot, ending scene is perfect
@Rumal – Ha Ha Ha Sahi!!!
@Shining – K Adeep, very nice Story .you can make more elaborate version of your film.
(in tradition of ‘Amazing Tales’;'Twilight Zone’)
__
‘Savita Bhabhi’ is quite famous here,hmmmmm
THE CITY OF BOILED BEANS
liked the idea and the execution, the prob was with the line at the beginning could not read it, though it stayed for a long time…and the line at the end was readable but it skipped within a fraction
IT COULD HAVE BEEN
didnt like this…though the idea was good
NAZARIYA
loved the idea, but didnt make me laugh..rgv just might see the humor though ;)
CHILDREN OF LABOURER
admire the thought behind the film, but it was done in a very one dimensional/ dull way….felt like a doordarshan ad.
TALKING HANDS
felt what this lacked was a concept
@trimoneo..behosh ho jaonga..yaar..thank..u..!!!!
@mainak..u r right..OZ bhai & team ki vajah se hi film making ka dreem pura hua..thank to PFC again..mainak thnx..bro…!!!

NYMPH
oh god again this is again the best of the day, SAFAT BHAI tum dhanya ho…..
THERE WILL BE BLOOD
well as the title the concept wasnt very original and more than that it became very obvious after 30 secs, would have been better if the guy was not wearing any shaving cream in the beginning. the predictability would have decreased
@shekar shimpi..dil baag baag ho gaya…..!!!!!
@Safat-baki ki editing next feature film project me….jo PFC ki aur se melige aapko…
nazaariya ….wtf ….mithunda mithunda mithundaaa ROFL …. i loved it forall the wrong reasons
Om, initially i thought it has something to with water crisis and all …:) loved the editing though …
@ nitin harsh..bahut jayda ho gaya bhai…!!..itna mat chadao jhad par gir jaonga…!!
Kenny,
you expressions in chipak gaya were priceless …maja aa gaya …u are up there in the nomination list of actors for me …my perosnal fav has to be KKSMKBT …loved it..loved the acting ..
Day 3…. I liked Kyunki Saan… for the sattire (I think organizers didn’t take it seriously because of its funny title… was better than Chipak Gaya), A Flight…, Talking Handa & Bas Kya for nicely executed social messages, Nazariya for its weirdness, The Shining for nice execution and Nymph for some excellent shots. And yes Without Cheese my best of the day
. I hope all film makers wold not restrict to just PFCOne and continue to make more and more films so that we could have still better films next year. All the best!!!
@ om ..bhai mujhe pata hi nahi tha BAS KYA tumne banai he…good idea..! good film..!! vese dahi wala idea bhi bura nahi tha..ha..ha..ha..!!

@ Rusted rick & neeraja….thank u lot..
@ Safat: KK & SB…. mazaa aa jaayega yaar!
Suggested name – Tall, Dark & Dusky.
Kyunki Saans Mein Kabhi Badboo Thi – Quite good Kenny..u got a big boost by Savita bhabhi
Spic n Span – quite decent..a bit predictable.
Rumaal – funny n nice
Bas Kya – liked the last line..till then i was like “msg on water waste ??”
Why It is? – Good intention..i guess a bit more could have been packed in..
It Couldve Been – found it really funny
Nazariya – somebody pl explain this film..laughed for all wrong reasons
The Shining – extremely well made with a good payoff. my movie of the day
Koga – was good..but was expecting more when i frst read the synopsis.
Nymph – pretty good visually..u must take up movie making more seriously safat !!
There will be Blood - Very well made and funny..nice.
Without Cheese – expected the ending but i still enjoyed it.
Chipak Gaya – Samajh main nahi aya ;) Kyunki should have been in competietive section.
@ Sudhir: agree wid u abt chipak gaya…
@ Safat: another name opt cud be –
Don ki Dusky sirf uski…
wut say… wink!
Avadhoot here….
Thanks for your valuable comments.
Will craft the next film better.
My Pick of PFC till now: Auto Madar@##d
Pick of the Day: Without Cheese.
Doston ek idea aaya – may be kenny can make a follow up movie, wid da konsent of vasan & safat. DON KI DUSKY BAS USKI. The story of a wannabe don & a struggling / irate TV serial actress. Both haven’t made it in their respektive careers. both frustoo, irate & may be one fateful day both are waiting for the goddamned AUTO Maakhod, to make it to the best career option they get. Don gets supari of Uditya Raj Khan & Duskyji gets to audition for Anurag Varma’s Fuck By Chance. Then wut ensues will be a total Kenny-brand madcap entertainer…
Think about it!
@ magik.. don ki dusky sirf uski…! vakai bahut accha he…!!!
@ kartik bhai kanha ho …? cast ho gayi…title bhi..readdy …he…ab aa jao yaar…!!!
@ sudhir nair…thank u boss…! koi is tarah se peeth thapthapa hai to bahut ..hoausla badta hai..!
@ kenny..achhi..picture banai he yaar..mene abhi dekhi…!!
This time I will be a little cribby and critical…
Kyunki saas…
Good twist, but ya, you could have cut the credits in the end to show one shot more, probably the guy’s transformation out of the frame. The girl is also too dramatic to be real, it looks as if she was waiting to curse. Great acting though, and Kenny what was that special entry at the end! Hilarious!!
Spic n span
Too loud music, the transition could have been brought a little earlier. Good subject though. Very relatable. I do the same thing all the time.
Bas Kya
Bas kya, yahi pichchurr tha?!
Love Letter
Couldn’t get the point,came across as something too personal and heartfelt but fails to connect.
Rumaal
Pointless.
The city of boiled beans
Couldn’t see a point. May be the attempt was to condense a lot.
Nazariya
Loooved it, seriously, and not because its anti-Ramu(NT-R-amu he he) but because of the spontaneity. Looved it.
The Shining
Nicely shot, but the twist wasn’t twisty enough. Also the lead guy spoiled it by comic expressions.
Koga
Lage raho, Himanshu beta, you retain the spontaneity and drive to make shorts. I just wish you work on bigger length films, element of surprise is fine, but there is a need to evolve. Koga is cool funda though, I won’t forget it the next time I go to the washroom. He he.
Nymph
THE film for me. Simply outstanding. Awesome music too. Saw accident again today, and couldn’t agree more with Mainak.
There will be blood
Kinky.
Without Cheese
The kid was great, the film felt real.
Chipak Gaya
Awesome. Fundu stuff. Love the creative keeda in you. Lage raho.
My pics:
Nymph
Nazariya
Chipak Gaya
@ tushar..thank..!
shining mujhe bahut sahi lagi..but i am agree with u..some shot of lead guy..which in fast action..vo thoda disturb..kar rahe he shayad..

Mithunda mithunda mithunda ha ha ha ha
@Mitch
Thanks. I’ve realised Kyunki Saas is really quite a bit of an inside joke. Non-industry friends don’t usually get it
@Vick, Amit Mishra, trimoneo
Thanks, mates
@OM
Ek din zaroor milenge, brother.
@magik
“knew such ma-behen spewing bitchy skanks” Hope I to work with as few of them as possible:)
And yeah, the name is a special tribute, but let’s play that part down, or I’ll be in trouble ;)
@KK
Paulomi’s bf will kill me agar main uska number distribute karta phirunga. Tere, mere aur Vasan ke tastes are all same and we’ll probably end up simultaneously falling in love with the same girls all the time
@skywalker
Thanks…I’m glad folks are getting it
@Rusted Rick
Paulomi’s a great dancer, singer and actress. And she’s a Bong too, so that helps for you ha ha…but she’s already taken, as all the good girls usually are
@Oz
Sirjee, main use bol chuka to reply to some of the comments!!!! I pray she does.
@Kuldip, Sudhir
Chipak Gaya…seriously, there’s nothing to explain. It’s a badly lit horror comedy with a down ending, that’s all
@OM again
With all us PFC wolves baying for Paulomi, it’s gonna look like a pretty scary place to her
@Shekhar
Man, just saw the raven…awesome visuals!!!!!!! How on earth did you…?
And you got it right about Chipak Gaya. I haven’t seen the Evil Dead movies yet (I will), but I do know about Bruce Campbell and his hand.
@Gajendra Saab
Without Cheese was really nice. Really! And you picked fantastic natural actors, whether trained or untrained.
@Bas Kya PFC folk
Great job, guys!!!!!
@Anand
Thanks pal. I’m lucky to know some good actors.
@Neeraja
You are part of my target audience, dear – the intelligent cinema watchers who’re not part of the industry. Fantastic observation—> “excellent transition of expression on girl’s face before and after the cut.” This is THE moment that the whole film is about!
@Safat
Thanks. I envy your cinematic skills.
@Tushar
My ’special entry’ is from the full 5.30 minute version of Local Kung Fu, my entry for PFCOne last year. And thanks for all the kudos
@PNu
How dare you compare me to Subhash Ghai! Oh sorry how dare you compare Subhash Ghai to me! Er, no, how dare you uh…or maybe how dare….oh damn ;)
@kyunki … nice twist, could have been more elaborate
@spic n span – delicious. old message, but well executed
@flight with d fight – good short. memorable.
@rumaal – intriguing premise, didnt like the conclusion.
@bas kya – haha .. PSA within a PSA
@it could’ve been – hahahha … hilarious … reminded me of one of JD’s daydreams from scrubs… funny, but audio quality of the first part could’ve been better
@talking hands – liked it.
@koga – friggin hilarious… brilliantly done.
@nymph – wow. just wow. blown away. safat ji, i join vikas and the others in the search for your charans … favourite film so far in the festival
@there will be blood –
@without cheese – oww. beautiful end to the movie. well done.
@chipak gaya –
…
…
My picks –
1) Nymph
2) Koga
3) it could’ve been
4) without cheese
Lots of humour today, but again mainly in the non competitive section.
Liked both your films,Kenny. Savita bhabi is a hit now. I guess you have to keep your real life different from your reel life. Chipak gaya is a cute comic-horror short.
The pick of the day has to be The Nymph. Reminded me of Mannequin on the move, a Hollywood comedy of the 80’s. Safat, you’ve packed in so much in a minute, great editing and a couple of outstanding shots.
Koga was funny, most of us must have guessed what was coming. Simple and effective film making.
GSS, Without Cheese is a sweet story, liked the kids acting.
The Shining impressed me with its lighting, the ending was a bit of a let down.
Talking hands was a moving film. Is this a shortened version of a longer film?
Bas Kya…hmmm…. Do you guys practice what you preach? ;)
@Safat Ali
How to contact you?
and is this you?

Would love to know more.
@Nazariya
ROTFLOLinggggggggg……………..
The best thing in today’s movies for me is background score of “Nymph”.Outstanding.
The best thing in today’s movies for me is background score of “Nymph”.Outstanding.
bhai logo…daru peene baitha hu ..with my two frinds…aur Najariya..dekhi he kai..kai..baar..aur hans hans…ke haal kharab he
great movie bhai……..really…mitundha…mitundhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…!!!!!!!
Sorry for joining in late; thanks for all your comments,
After reading some of your suggestions here are some details about the film:
Shooting format: .mpeg J
Camera: Nokia 6681 (in-build one… lol)
About acting: this is what you get after 1 hour of rehearsal from IT professionals. J
About the mail: well Koga is name of my friend and I get most of my ideas when I’m in toilet (they are not inspired by life… I’m serious…. lol); got the concept when doing the shit so without flushing to much I executed my plan, so can’t help it if you dint liked.
@Magik – I feel like winner after making it to competitive section. YES I waved my T-shirt from balcony when I herd that I’m in competitive section…. lol
Thanks again to all of you who took time to watch my movie.
See you in PFCOne-2009
Much better than previous two days. spic n span, Love Letter, Unknown Politics and Nazariya deserved to be in competitive section. The music and editing in spic n span was really good while Nazariya was one of the funniest 1 minute films featured here.
Nymph was the pick of the day. Mind blowing!
@Gajendra Ji,
Good hai,
shows everything in a good and simple manner.
Child is quite benevolent he gave ~16% of the bill in tip. May such kids get command on economics and join the politics and change the values for future.:)
Kenny boss..peila philum tera dekha..Kyunki..and it was LOL..:)
The Shinning:I have seen the talkig table lamps concept somewhere else..may be animated..nonetheless..it was good
Hi Om,
Thanks for your comments on my film Rounds all Around us. This film was shoot, edit every things by me on my mobile camera phone, originaly this was a two minute film and was a one of the five finlist mobile film worldwide for Pangeaday & Nokia Mobile Filmmaking Awards,2008 held at Los Angeles.
Children of labourers is also a mobile film and originaly four minute film, i was not edited properly for one minute film.
Thanks,
Kayoom Mistry
Making Of Nazariya
After some beans have been boiled, some have been spilled. Hence I have to admit something here. I made Nazariya. Yes, so..sabhi gaalis please direct it to OM/Sumeet, leave Praveen Sirka alone. He has only paid for my late submission..lol!!
Anyways, Nazariya is all credit to Apna all in one guy “K Just K” nah not KK, its Karthik Srinivasan, aka Striker. I have no idea how I got the idea for Nazariya, I guess I was watching Sarkar Raj the previous night or some shit. Now hua kya..i do not have a video camera/handy cam or even a cell phone which captures videos. I wanted to make this, just for the fuck of it. That is when i saw Striker’s Anniversary. I was mighty impressed by it. Loved how he had shot at so many different locations and that too for a one minute film? I had never seen this before. So, I made a call to Striker and asked if he would help me in shooting this film. Help he did and went beyond it. The last date for the submission was coming shortly, so he had to shoot this and then edit this( yes he edited this as well)..the basic idea was to show an object in all obtuse angles netween shoe soles, from under the table, etc etc making you squint your eyes with the background score.
Striker got the idea perfectly and suggested he wanted to act as an object..i said go ahead..he then changed his mind as if he would act..camera kaun pakadega? SO, the Monkey..he shot it and said.boss we don’t have copyrights for Govinda Govinda song..so, I said, why don’t you sing the song? To try to make It a bit more funny he said..how about Mithunda Mithunda..i fell in splits and said..bas..go ahead and do it..voila within 2-3 hrs he had shot it, edited it given the voice-over for it..so, essentially this is a Striker’s film..tho jootey usko maaro..ehehe
Thanks to all who liked it and thaks those who thought what was it about? Its a no brainer it’s a PJ..i love PJ’s
@OM
“bas kya” is appropriate One Min Film, you cant extent it.
You love PJ’s right?
How about alternate movie title for “Bas Kya?”
“Fuck de India” (use condoms)
:P
thanks to all those who got it, even with my botched effort.
to those who didnt get it, what i was trying to say was….
suppose someday humans develop the technology to be able to time travel. and suppose everything happens as the guy in the first part briefs his seniors.
now imagine, if some stone-age or whatever prehistoric man observes them, what will go through his mind. the folk-lore started by this man could have taken the form of indian mythology as we know of it now (ganesha and shankar hinted in the movie).
had to force everything through dialogue. wish to remake it someday with all the props and locations.
For Nazariya:
@ Vijay: Thank you sirjee..Mithunda is Striker’s idea..jai ho!!
@ Trimoneo: “@ praveen Sirka……that was fucking hilarious…..hahahaha just cant get over mithunda mithunda mithunda….”
heheh..thanks..all thanks to Striker again..
@Kartik krishnan “”@nazaria – didnt understand ..was waiting for the payoff”"
Kahe ka payoff bei..you always need cum shots att he end? The payoff is if you laugh at the weirdness..lol!!
@Magik: I saw RGV..ehehe
@wb bhai: abhi itna bhi nakko chadhao..
@ Rusted Rick :”loved the idea, but didnt make me laugh..rgv just might see the humor though “”
RR ko hasana mushkil hi nahi na-mumkin hain..gorey zara hans de tu hans de tu hans zara( gora hain na tu?)
@ Anand kadam: What is this wrong reason..ehhe..it was made to make you laugh right or wrong..lol!!
@Sudhir Nai: Their is no explanations..no concept..just hanste raho muaahhaha..lol!!
@ Tushar: ” Loooved it, seriously, and not because its anti-Ramu(NT-R-amu he he) but because of the spontaneity. Looved it. ”
Tushy i made this movie for you and only you..coz i knew if no one likes it..tu tho atleast 3.5 stars dega ..ehehe
@ Kuldip : “ROTFLOLinggggggggg…………….. ”
Now get up and get to work..lol!!
@ Safat: “bhai logo…daru peene baitha hu ..with my two frinds…aur Najariya..dekhi he kai..kai..baar..aur hans hans…ke haal kharab he
great movie bhai……..really…mitundha…mitundhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…!!!!!!”
Mein dhanya ho gaya..thank you safat bhai..thank you..
@ Happy Go Lucky: ” Nazariya was one of the funniest 1 minute films featured here.”
Ouch this will hurt..i wil take it though..you found comedy in my serious fillum? grrr..lol!!
@ Amit..you are the discovery on this year’s PFCOne..you have done what Gajendra bhai did last year..full passion se.you made so many movies..and to think about it..you have one more coming…your movies might be good bad ugly..but, the fun you guys were having making it oozes out in your film..kudos bro
way to go man.
Om I love the mise-en-scene and your use of all 3 planes in Nazariya. I feel you are the vanguard of the new breed of indian cinema who will teach all these old fuddy duddies how to make honest non emotionally manipulative cinema.
I only wish that along with the 3 planes you had also used a helicopter.
Day 3 and it’s Mithunda Mithunda Mithunda!!
Gajendra bhai, nicely done. Though those steel glasses stacked up behind the lady didn’t give the place a look of a fast food joint. But the end was nice.
Koga for me was unfortunately marred by an ending that Iknew and some average acting.
The Shining (like Deja Vu) was funny. The twist didn’t reveal till the last 5 seconds and then the lights had some cool dialogs.
Preferred kyun ki saas over chipak gaya.
But, end mein, it is Mithunda Mithunda Mithunda
# Janus..planes..helicopters..pushpak vimaan..what is all this..even if it is a sarcasm..mereko bouncer gayi..
@ Subrat..thank you :-)
@OM, LOL!
Caught all the movies an hour back, commenting now:
I think the star of today’s show is Kyunki Saans me bhi kabhi badboo thi…Fuck..Kenny is the new rockstar! Awesome..! Heard a lot about his Kung fu plate, but dint watch last yr;s PFC, so no clue..but this on epacks a punch in its own howlarious way..should have been in the compeitive section no doubt..!
Nazariya: One of the what the fuck movies that you can laugh at, laugh with endlessly.
Nymph: Haunting feel to the movie, captivating. And once again, I’m amazed by the consistency.
Koga: Oh my god! laughed my guts out…one could get whats happening mid way, but doesnt rob the charm of the movie, in fact heightens it…this movie is right up there..!
Without Chees: Direction was nice, but the story was not very novel(the director has admitted it in of his comments, that he wanted to make something simple, fair enough!), though was surprised to find it in the compeitive section.
Unknown Politics – Typical caricatured portarayal of Biharis which was so over the top. Acting was horrendous, the message was nice, the execution wasn’t.
Love Letter : A nice, simple story. The voice over wasn’t bad, good stuff guys!
Spic n Span: As much as I hate message and preachy shorts, this one completly bowled me. Wow!
There will be Blood: Mazaa aa gayi boss…! hahaha..!
Rumaal: The ending kind of dint work for me in a big way, but throughout the movie had me in splits..Again a nice movie..!
Why It is? : Trying to say too much in too little time, but, still not bad..
Bas Kya: bas Kya kahein ab iske baare me? Tip tip barsaa paani…Yaar OM, SEX kahan hai? ;)
The Shining: haha..kya tha yaar? Mazaa aa gaya…!
Chipak Gaya: The Idiot guy sleeping acted brilliantly.. ;) , the movie was funny too, but not that funny when compared with Kyunki..guess kyunki had the in the face humor more via gallis…? but, whatever kyunki rocked thousand times more than chipak gaya n shud hv got a place..anyways!
A Flight with the Fight and The City of Boiled Beans: Strictly okay.
‘On the whole’ Day 3 has rocked in a bigger way than the rest two days, may be because of the nature of the films, but still, they were genuinenly very good. We needed a break from those serious films..!! Can’t wait for Day 4 now..!
janus, listen carefully.. that whirring sound isn’t a sound glitch.. well maybe it is, but it’s really supposed to be a helicopter. mithunda jai ho! let’s hope nazariya does to mithunda’s career what sarkar did to govinda’s..
And Janus is missing Jahan for sure!
Thnx guys.. K Adeep is an anagram. So main hoon woh! :-)
Thanks and Kudos to the Lead Sameer Talwalkar for coming in at the last moment and putting up a splendid show!!
Lost a few frames on the credits so thousand apologies Sam T :-)
@vikas thnx dude
@Om, thnx for soo much 4 pol kholing..grrr
@vick yep
@amit, kk, safat,vasan, neeraja, sudhir, Arun, Subrat thnx all
@vijay defnitely naaaat
@kuldip.. old concept?? are u thinking pixar?
@wb.. ab tak tho mujhe minimum ek dozen single malts milna chahiye.. bas words all words hah!!:-)
@shekhar this was initially meant to be a 3 min short. the elaborate version as you mentioned. saying the same thing in one min was a challenge.. this is a bit adhoora. will do a post in detail later
@tushar, bang on. haan ending mein punch thoda kam hai. and it was neva meant to be a shot at horror. the making of it is another story in itself. will share later
@saurav, again are u thinking Pixar? this it aint :-)
Thnx again Tanul
Saale DPac, you guys pulled a big one on all of us today. But it was nice to be PUNKD. Pata nahi tha teri fillum hai, nahi to kam buraai karta.. he he.
and good morning Tanul bhaiyya.
Most hillarious collection of three days. Koga and Cast Monkey were unbelievably funny.
Nevertheless the serious ones have their own share. Safat does it again with Nymph, my personal fav for the day.
Gud maarning! Gud maarning..!
@Tushi,
precisely the point boss. :-)
kam mat kar… let it rrrriipP!
Kab kahan DPac, ab to diplomacy ka nanga naach hoga!
LOL! 1 minute ki film mein Nanga nahaayega kya aur nichodega kya!
@Tushar: Bas karo ji…Aur saha nai jaata. ( I must shut up now, lest I turn the comment’s section to you know what ;)
Haila! I didn’t know you ll ‘come’ to a decision so early. Abhi jaaga bhi nahi aur tu bhaaga. j/k.
Arre, Ye Public hai sab jaanti hai. Nanga naach k baad ‘bade’ ‘chote’ comment honge…Lol..!
idharich tanul idharich aur kidhar:-)
I saw Mumbai Cutting few months back and was really dissapointed with it..except for a few films…But Even in the really bad ones the problem was that of execution but at least the story (or the idea) wasnt bad or disappointing…Here in the non-competitive section all throughout the three days, the major problem has been the story…people aren’t really coming up with attractive (interesting) ideas at all…..Its a relief that in the competitive section there have been some innovative ideas…Infact in my opinion NYMPH from Day 3 takes the top position from deja vu deja vu…
My top picks from day 3
NYMPH
WITHOUT CHEESE
TALKING HANDS
KOGA CAN’T SAVE YOU ALWAYS
THERE WILL BE BLOOD
@OM
thanks for the kind words yaar.
to think of it, Gajendra ji actually did inspire me. last time around i couldnt shoot and enter pfc one due to some things which were not under my control. then i saw the movies that were screened in pfc2007 and gajendra bhai was a source of inspiration. he had so many entries. and he has improved so much since then. lets hope i can follow his footsteps.
@kuldeep…yes u r right..ye nitin ki sight he..he is my good friend and a good folk music documentry maker…vese mujhe bhi pata nahi tha ki me uski sight par hu …tumahare batane ke baad hi pata chala…!!!! my mail add-
safat.ali@gmail.com
@Kenny – BRING SAVITA BHABHI ON PFC … heheheh galat mat samjho ..this is not Radha krishnan jaisa pyaar ..this is meera krishnan waala :P so no danger to her boyfriend …
Number ki koi zaroorat nahi … hum tasveer ki pooja karke khush rahengey ….
BTW – pls oh pls ..show her auto madar if u can
@safatji – bas ji duniya ke karmon ku-karmon mein chipak gaya tha …leading female savita bhabhi hai toh main abhi ready hoon …buying the next available flight to jodhpur(right ???) and coming
@Magik – hahahahahahahah ..nice title for a film … Tall, Dark & Dusky
and the second idea is KILLER “DON KI DUSKY BAS USKI.” SUPERB
Kenny sun raha hai kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ???
@OM – nazariyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ….now i got it
Haven’t seen all of them but here is my instant-reaction on the ones I did manage to see.
1. Kyunki Saans Mein – Cud’ve been better written…the fun quotient wud’ve increased many times. Liked the quirks.
2. Spic N Span – Too stretched an idea even for a minute.
3. Bas Kya – One of the most pro-looking films in the non-competitive section. Loved the concept…and what execution! Neat.
But I had no idea that Sumeet writes as OM here? Or am I still wrong?
4. Nazariya – LOL. If it’s a comment on RGV’s style of film-making…(I think it was) then double-LOL!! Wish it was done with some more finesse…
5. The Shining – Very well done film. To get the viewer on the edge in just a minute is a big achievement…and that long shot (from behind) was very well framed. Pay-off was not great though.
6. Koga… – I think mixing that juvenile joke with a message didn’t work. And bad acting throughout.
7. Nymph – Great idea…but I think it needed more dynamic images to generate the feelings of turbulent guilt. I mean, in just a minute – one can either make stories that ACTUALLY can be told in one minute, or if the stories are far greater/deeper (like Nymph and Safat’s earlier one – Accident)then do some unconventional visual treatment or leave some things to the viewer’s assumption. I think Nymph does a lot of latter and lesser of the earlier.
8. There will be blood – Relying too much on the half-joke we have in the title.
9. Without Cheese – Nicely done…the kid was good. And the story decent.
10. Chipak Gaya – Blood looked real but too much. I think the idea had potential…and some more shots cud’ve aided well. Plus the expressions of the actor were not top class.
(Sorry if i’ve hurt someone here. I understand how big an achievement it is, to make a film, all on ur own, and i know the joy of ‘completing’ a shot, editing a small chunk, putting even a 5-second guitar-strum in the background at the right place…all these are great feelings which make us feel stupid and proud at the same time. Bests to all of you.)
@Varun Grover..its funny you wrote this..just a couple hours ago i was thinking of sending a message to you on orkut saying ” behenchod tu sirf pfc pei comment maarega ya fir likhega bhi? mere ghoom badshaah”..lol!!
OM is Sumeet, bhai…abhi bol author kab banega?..
thanks for the compliments..nazariya is also me..and Striker( Karthik Srinivasan)
@Dpac,
na, I have seen a similar short, can’t recall the name/url etc.
Thanks and acknowledgements contd.: Neeraja, Sudhir, Kenny… saala main toh saab ban gaya:), Tarvindar, Arun, RK… small bills main tip ka %age jyada ho he jaata hai:), Subrat… jaldi mein aur bina puri team ke kisi Fast Food joint ki real location par shoot karna mushkil thha… isiliye close shots se kaam chalaya:), Tanul, Suprabh and varun… thanks all of you a lot for liking the film. I will communicate everybody’s appreciation to the kid…
OM and Amit… I am happy that my passion is infectious and can inspire… Amit: Keep it up!!!
@Kuldip..
interesting.. link mile tho share pls
@ OM tere kitne naam! :P
That’s why i kept wondering where the fuck are u…why don’t i see any articles, comments, rants by the name of Borwankar.
Anyways…great film. Aur nazariya bhi tum logon ka tha…yeh mujhe pahle hi sochna chaahiye tha.
Striker…Mithunda-mithunda is the craziest interpretation of govinda-govinda till day…and now i feel, thoda aur chutiyapa machaana chaahiye tha as u guys are very much capable of that.
And abt writing…i have thought abt it many times…will mail u in detail.
Magik’s idea’s quite a good one, actually.
@Varun
About my Chipak Gaya expressions, yeah, I can see where I went wrong.
@Janus
3 Places and a helicopter also ha ha ha ha ha ha ha….good one!
@Tanul
Thanks a lot for the tareef. I didn’t expect so many people to get it.
Mithunda, Mithunda … LOL
Thank you one and all for your appreciation!! Very glad to see Kyunki’s popularity. I’m in a fix though. PFC making me reconsider my decision of running away from Balaji camp. What to do :-( …
Thanks all. And congrats to the winners.
woah nazariya!! itni khundak RGV pe?
@Sg..Dost Khundak nayi..Tribute hain tribute the master :-)
sg.. khundak nahi, tribute nahi.. ise kehte hain hOMage!
@Striker
lol
Hail! Mithunda!!
