PFCOne 2008 : The Competitive Section
oz | Exclusive, Festivals & Contests | November 15, 2008 at 10:20 pm
Here’s the list of the entries selected for the competitive section. The PFCOne Jury will select their choice of winners from this section and the winners will be announced on Dec 5, 2008.
All Competitive and Non-Competitive entries will be shown on PFC from Dec 1 to Dec 5 2008. The Schedule for the festival will be published in a few hours.
I was simply blown away by many movies and the way they told their stories. This year is going to be a very very tough one for the PFCOne Jury.
We made some tough calls this year. Out of 140 entries received we returned submissions that were incomplete or did not follow the PFCOne rules. But there was one rule we relaxed… again (darn!)… the one minute… the quality of stories in these films was so good, that we let go of a few seconds for all movies. And like last year, I make a promise to myself again… that I’ll be strict next year (well lets see!)
Without taking anymore space, here’s the list of films that made it to the Prized Cut – The Competitive Section.

Thanks for including me too. Hate to be a prick, but the one-line description for my film should be “We’re losing our Johnny, sadly”.
congratulations Safat… but you have some PRETTY TOUGH competition this year
All the best!
Madhav, corrected.
Thanks Oz!
Thanks a ton Oz and rest at PFC for selecting my film for competition!!! Can’t tell you how i’ve been waiting for this for the last two days, refreshing PFC site every five minutes and checking Pacific standard time on the internet.

Can’t believe my film will be seen by people i idolise!!
How this film got made can in itself be the story for another film, but i guess that story doesn’t deserve to be told unless my film is good enough for a win!
thanks again guys!
Thanks jury for putting me in this league.
All the best to all the entries, but remember KOGA is watching you all.
cheers
thanks oz…it good that the competition is pretty tough..
…it will be chellenging and good for our improvement…for next year…
Congratulations all! Waiting for Dec 1
best of luck you guys. guess i will have to work harder the next time around.
Hi All,
Congrats to all the makers who have entered in the competitive section and would wish the best win.
This is for the organizers, if you can take some time off and provide your review comments personally (via email) or in the blog itself to the films which were not selected for the competitive section then this would be a great learning for all to improve.
Just a suggestion, as I am curious to know what went wrong with our work; as all might be who are in non-competitive section.
