PFCOne Rules, Regulations and Disclaimer
passionforcinema.com may periodically revise the terms of this agreement by updating this page. You should periodically visit this page to review the current terms of service. The PFCOne Film Festival is referred to as “PFCOne” for the purpose of this disclaimer. 1. Submit a one-minute movie based on your original story. You can use any tool or media, from your mobile phone to a professional camera, to make your one-minute movie. The goal of the festival is to allow you to share your films with no restrictions as to the medium used to create the film.
2. By submitting, if chosen as an official selection, you are hereby granting permission for passionforcinema.com to exhibit your submission in the PFCOne festival event.
3. Submissions will be rejected if received after the posted submission dates.
4. You have the legal right and authority to submit a film to PFCOne. You may not submit another person’s work as your own. If you are under the age of eighteen (18), you must have your parent or legal guardian submit your film on your behalf.
5. There is no restriction on the number of movies you may submit to the festival. Each movie must be submitted separately.
6. Only completed projects will be accepted. We will not accept rough cuts of films, nor will we accept trailers of feature projects. Your submission must be a complete and final one-minute film.
7. We accept submissions that have premiered elsewhere; however, films available for viewing on YouTube, Google Video, ifilm, or other free online sites will not be accepted.
8. Submission format: we prefer that you submit your film in .flv format (Flash Video File from Macromedia). Films submitted using other electronic formats (.mov, .qt, .mp4, .wmv, .avi, .mpg or .wma) will be converted to .flv files, and if there is a conversion failure for any technical reason, your film will not be eligible for entry.
9. PFCOne is open genre; we accept all forms and genres that would be deemed within a G, PG, PG-13, R, or NC-17 rating by our screening committee and jurors. We do not accept pornographic content. The content of your film must not be obscene, pornographic, invade privacy rights, exploit the images of individuals under the age of eighteen (18), or in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations.
10. You must have the right to use all of the images and music in your film. You must be able to provide model/actor release verifications, and must be able to provide music, product and other copyright licensing verification. PFCOne is not responsible for any claims and rights of the copyright holders, if any, in literary, dramatic, musical or other material, including stories, plays, scripts, scenarios, themes, incidents, plots, characteristics, dialogue, music, words appearing, used or recorded in your film. You (or your producer) agree to take on all copyright liability in regard to submitted film.
11. The display, reproduction, and distribution of your film on PFCOne will not violate or infringe upon the copyright, literary, privacy, publicity, trademark, service mark or any other personal or property right of any person or entity, and your film will not libel or defame any party.
12. By submitting your film to PFCOne, you grant passionforcinema.com the permission to use your film (in part or in whole) for the purpose of promoting the PFCOne Film Festival and future festivals. If selected as an Official Selection, you consent to your film being available for viewing by the PFCOne jury members and to the media. Your submission grants PFCOne a revocable, non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your film on the passionforcinema.com Web sites, as well as any other Web sites that may now or hereafter contain an authorized passionforcinema.com brand. You are also giving passionforcinema.com a non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty free license to use excerpts of your film and your biographical information for advertising or promotional purposes, including, without limitation, the right of display, reproduction, and distribution on passionforcinema.com as well as in offline print materials.
13. The PFCOne Film Festival has a panel review all submissions to decide finalists. Finalists are then judged by a jury of invited industry professionals. All screener and jury decisions are final. Our panel of jurors and our screening committee use a rating system on submissions and official selections. By submitting your film to PFCOne, you are verifying that you understand that your submission does not guarantee acceptance display on the PFCOne Web page.
14. PFCOne is under no obligation to display, reproduce, or distribute your film, even if it is an Official Selection. PFCOne may remove your film from the passionforcinema.com Web pages at anytime without notice. You may request that your film be removed from the PFCOne sites by sending a request to passionforcinema [AT] gmail [DOT] com and requesting that we remove your film within 30 days. If any part of your film appears in PFCOne’s marketing or advertising materials, it may take up to three months to remove those images and details.
