Phoonk, Ram Gopal Verma
Print
This man makes movies as if he was making jalebis..ek ke baad ek…His Sarkar Raj releases this weekend. I will surely watch it, no doubt, afterall its a freaking RGV movie, however bad it might be..it still is RGV movie.
While on that note of Aamir getting splendid reviews from Raja Sen of Rediff, i chanced upon this trailer of Phoonk from RGV. Well the trailer says it all. Its about Black Magic. Its starts off with the camera going mighty close to a broomstick, to a woman cooking in the kitchen to a man shaving in his bathroom..and then the shrill…we have seen it all in RGV trailer, but for some odd reason, this one did excite me.
It has all the trademark RGV in it..ajeeb camera angles, the suspense building formula, et al. But, one thing that i liked about this trailer was that he showed one whole scene..now how many trailers do that? Also i loved the punchline
” It is Superstition, untill it happens to you”
So, watch it..and tell us what you liked, disliked about it..
PS: For some the ishare link is not working, hence uploading a youtube link as well..enjoy

For some reason rediff link was not working, but saw it on youtube. It did excite me. It reminded me of “Vaastushastra”. I want RVG to make a big comeback. Sarkaar Raj, Contract and Phoonk. Which director had 3 releases in a year?
BTW, the male lead in Phoonk is Kannada actor and director Sudeep. I’d no idea that he is working with Phoonk.

@ Vivek.H..thanks for the heads up. The link is working on my side yaar..nevertheless i have uploaded a youtube link as well.

Intersting…..very Interesting…..It has “Booth” and “vaasthushastra” hangover but still I was hooked….

Looks inspired from ‘tulasi dalam/kashmora’ – telugu novel by Yandamoori veerendranath. was made as a telugu movie in the 80s. if it indeed is, will be very interesting.

@VivekH, I am sure David Dhawan must have had more than 3 releases in a year during his peak days :-)
