Project PFC
Oz and I were talking this evening and we came up with the idea about a bunch of PFC bhidus coming together and making a short film. The purpose of this post is basically to put a feeler out there and see how many people are interested, and how we can make this happen. Unfortunately, this opportunity will only be available to those in the LA/OC area.
We all love films, we all talk a lot about it, and of course harbor dreams of making one. But you don’t really know what goes into it unless you get out there and make one. Most of us have full time jobs and bills to pay so we tend have neither the time nor the financial luxury to venture into this as a passion.
This project is essentially designed to accomodate those limitations, and at the same time create an opportunity for us to come together and enjoy the process of filmmaking. Note: PROCESS. It’s about learning. We’re not going to be worried about the final product. If we end up making a great film, great! But the important thing is we enjoy making it.
The plan is first of all to arrange a meet of all those in the vicinity who are interested. We can talk about specifics later as to who will do what. We all have various amounts of experience, some have NONE! Not a problem! The point here is to use our weekends to pursue our Passion for Cinema and simply have fun doing it. We’ll shoot this thing guerilla style, with minimal expenses, and figure out an effective way to share them. It will be a tight-knit team where each person including Oz and myself are in it to learn from each other. It’s an opportunity for us to essentially share ideas.
We don’t know what we’ll end up making, how long it will be, or where the damn final product will end up. Honestly, we don’t care. We want to make a movie, have fun, and hopefully learn something about each other and ourselves through it. So if you’re in the LA/OC area and essentially sit on your ass on weekends, let us know and we’ll take this forward. Let’s make a movie!

Oz and I spoke about this too. Striker the 48 hour film project is great for people with some experience. Our idea here is basically not to rush it. To just chill out and learn at our own pace. We’re not shortlisting people for this based on skill/experience level. Anyone with an interest is welcome. Keeping it simple is the key.

Well I would like to be a part of this project but my only worry is I live in Oklahoma and I dont mind travelling to west coast if u guys decide and plan specific dates Then i can definetly come over to LA and be a part.
