Love it, i was having second thoughts about this……..but i guess its looking perfect.
Cant wait to see SRK back on the big screen after more than a year.
the music is spot on, the sets are looking exactly the way vintage yash raj sets look…and srk is looking in form as usual, cant wait to watch this
SRK doing what he always does. Its boring already.
I am floored by the long-take in the bazaar. I had to watch it eight times to figure out how the camera was moving and zooming in and out at the same time.
The opening of the shot alone — where we fade up from black and Shahrukh is lifting his head — caught my eye right away. Wow. It’s an extreme wide-angle lens which provides a distinct distortion and also allows the shot to stay in deep focus now matter how much moving Shahrukh and the camera do.
You’ll see that the camera is moving forward with him, and then it passes him while he’s lying on the cart. Then he passes the camera again, and finally the camera backs away and lifts up while the bike Shahrukh rides recedes in the distance.
I don’t see any tracks but it’s possible they were careful about their location. Alternatively, perhaps they have some high-tech robotic wheeled dolly or crane. Fabulous.
around 50secs in one single shot… loved it!
@poon
SRK doing what he always does? you mean ENTERTAIN? yeah right he is doing that.
i cant remember the last time i saw such a long shot in a commercial bollywood flick.
rarity. aditya chopra is truly pulling out every trick and by the response almost everyone is lovin it
it looks more like a dolly or a tracks with a steadycam operator that is getting on and off of it. the steadycams ops movement was very precisely timed by the look of it
rusted rick, I can tell he’s entertained you. For me I can do without the overdone romances by SRK.
teaser worked for me I am interested in it now..
love the camera work on it
I am sold…
Why do I feel this song is inspired by “Kabhi Naiee” song from Adnan’s album “Tera Chehra”?? And that the music is similar to that of “lift kara de”??
I am humming this song from yesterday.
Thanks for pointing out the camera movement. I knew there was something different about the way it was shot. It looks so so appealing. I love the way its shot already plus the extras who do a fab job.
After a long while we have a nice song.. simple and neatly written..
Thanks Oz for pointing me out to this article.. I am totally excited about this movie…
@Poon,
Even with your take on SRK’s previous movies, I think you should check this one out before you apply your foregone conclusion.
Houle Houle ho jaayega pyaar..
I am not surprised Jaideep Sahni wrote the lyrics. The song has an earthy feel to it.
There is something surely going about this movie. Two hours ago, this video was viewed by 33,000 odd people two hours later the numbers shot to 41,000. Although, I’m in love with this song, can’t wait for its music to be released,..!
it’s a jimmy jib on tracks. lagaan did it way back.
