Rajini’s Latest in Trouble?
Enthiran nee Robo, the insanely budgeted sci-fi flick starring Rajnikanth, Aishwarya Rai and Danny Denzongpa has finally been indefinitely shelved, say our sources. Shankar apparently has already exhausted the budget of 3 films on whatever little he’s shot so far and the ongoing spend forecasts are said to be too steep even for the cash loaded SUN pictures, who have realized that all of India is not big enough a market to recover the final cost of the film. Shankar has always been having a dual thinking when it came to budget.For his directorial ventures made in some one else’s money, he just keeps asking for the moon & when its his own production, he tries to take the minimalist route.Should serve as a lesson for him now hopefully.
Very depressing. But it will be a big relief for other producers, Shivaji hijacked all other films during its release.
I say good riddance. Shanker will make much better movie if he concentrates on the story line and screenplay. Extravagant sets and shooting at exotic locales doesnt make a good movie. Few weeks into the release and his movies look stale. “Mudhalvan” was his only movie which I liked.

Take a look back at history..there is no Rajini movie ever collapsed while production. ENDHIRAN will be released as promised!

I am big fan of Shankar, was looking forward for movie, what the heck his movie promised big screen entertainment and masala with Corruption as an evil which we are facing.
I do not about story but, his screenplays are best .

Back in 1996,when Shankar Made Indian at a budget of 20 crores, he reaped profits for his producer,in tamil and telgu versions before even releasing it ih Hindi.
So i hope producer have faith in him.

Indian was a reasonable commercial pot boiler. No great shakes.
Shanker is like the stock market boom and when the bust happens it will take a big producer down with him.

Indian came at time when everyone was going gaga over 50 Years of Indian Independence and it showed we as country had so many problems, even it is a pot boiler it is not run of mill kind love stories where hero bashes up 100 guys like recent Vijay Films.
About stock market, well the risk is associated with every film ,be it Small or big, but if a person has faith in a director, then the audience should not have any problem.As a audience our only concern should be that movie entertains or not, i do not want to know how much producer paid,gained or lost.When i buy movie ticket i want entertainment,Shankar Gurantees it going by his past record.
I am not sure if I subscribe to your views. I paid money to watch “Shivaji” and thoroughly repented it. Should have spent my hard earned money on something more worthwhile.
Here is a director wwho claims to expose social issues in his movies. Earns 250 crores as a “Systems Architect” and thinks he has enough money to provide free education and health services for life.
He gets the black money and then uses “Hawala” to make the black money into “White”. Doesnt he realize that “hawala” is as big a problem as black money. Hawala money is used by terrorists and all other notorious elements of the society. I am not a teenager any more and cannot easily digest pot boilers which are devoid of any sense.

Going by that logic it is impossible for Rajni to fight so many people and come unscathed .I did not know what your expectations while watching sivaji.if it was fore pure entertainment, then it was acheived.
