All this detail and more about this simbly south super star’s private life will be made available to his ardent masses when the hero’s biography is released during this weekend.
The book “The name is Rajnikanth” in English (Tamil version of the book is titled “Rajni Pera Kettale”), authored by one Gayatri Sreekanth, is a biographical sketch of the South Indian super star. Ornated by 130 pictures, the book has 384 pages and costs about Rs.500 INR.
The book will be released in a grand event on 1st March 2008 at Chennai, with famous names like Amitabh Bachan, Swami Dayananda Saraswathy, Kamal Haasan and other Tamil movie personalities participating in this event.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has written a forward to the book and Kamal Haasan, in his message in the book, says that “a book of this sort (about Rajni) in English is long overdue”.

Rajni was very curious to know what was happening on the Ram Sethu issue. More than the media, he wanted to know what was happening at political rallies. So he disguised himself and went to a public meeting and sat with the crowds, listened to the meeting and then came back,” Dr Sreekanth, author of the biography, titled The Name is Rajnikanth , claims.

The name is Rajini Kant sounds like The name is Bond,
only this could have been the title.
The name is Rajinikant.

Though he was shivaji, when he came to Chennai, his mentor , the great K.Balachander christened him Rajinikanth after a character in his play/movie Major Chandrakanth as there was already the legendary everest Sivaji Ganesan in the film industry.
Nooooo…rajinikant was born to a king and queen in kapilavastu and he could walk when he was born , and lotus flowers bloomed wnerever he stepped…..

Which could be the reliable paper of record(they operate out of chennai, and will be corrcted immediately if they misspell God’s name) consistently spells his name as Rajinikanth.
but vernacular proper nouns can go either way…

It would be safe to assume thaliavar’s daughter spells it as Rajinikant.
cdrakenc, i dont know whether u r a south indian. If you are, the only ‘correct’ way you will spell it is as ‘Rajni’.
and for each ‘Rajinikant’ you can come up with i can come up with a ‘Rajni’.
