Got hooked on the Crazy Songs Post, which discusses songs where part of the lyrics make no sense and yet the song’s a hit. We think Remo’s original Dekho Dekho Yeh Hain Jalwa is one which tops the list. A foot tapping number, from the movie Jalwa, this 14 minute rare-to-find-now song, was emailed to us by three different readers who wanted to share the craze that the song had created way back in 1987… with just 5 hindi words in a 14 minute song and yet it had the nation hooked… check the OST out… and you’ll forget the remixes!

Like Jalwa, Bappi Lahiri composed one bomb of a song called Habiba which had only few lines like ” Habiba…habiba Mein tera mehebooba”.
I have seen the live break dance performance of Javed Jaffery in Kolkata. Mindblowing experience.
Habiba is also the name of Javed’s wife !
I have the original (not the bomb the bass remix) song.Unfortunately, there’s no video available for the original performance by Javed.
I guess now is the time I have to share a very personal story of my trysts with Remo in PFC! He is an amazing guy, the first artist/star I ever met and spent time with! Powerhouse musician and a talented musician!
