Rock On is My Story and Yours
Pratim D. Gupta | Movies, Review | August 28, 2008 at 11:20 pm
Every morning I would double click the Vanish icon on my desktop. It’s a Final Draft file, a script I am writing, hoping to turn it into a film. If I look at the script five times, I look at the clock on the wall seven times. It’s time, I have to go to office and hunt for an interview, dig out a story and make the newspaper page on Quark Express software. I save the file and while doing so I realise I have hardly added two lines to the script.
Once in office, I would do my job with all sincerity or so I would like to believe. But what is the job? Writing about films, writing about film-makers making their first film, interviewing someone who gave up a 9-to-5 job to wield the megaphone. And as I hear them speak trying to think of the next question to ask them, I think what I am doing to myself. Why can’t I just walk out of that door once and for all leaving that cushy job behind?
Is it the pay? Is it the nature of the job? Hadn’t I become a film writer in the first place because I had to make films? So now that I am so near to the dream why can’t I let go of the job? Why can’t I just go back to the script 24/7 and hunt down a producer? As you can imagine, I have analysed this day in and day out, slept over it several nights and I have realised I am just a weak man. A man who loves to say to himself arey pehle ek producer toh mil jaaye phir dekhenge… Let me make one film and see how it goes.
And Rock On!! last night told me, another five years later, a disgruntled me would shout out to my wife: “Dus saal pehle mainey yehi zindagi chuni thi… Yes it was a compromise but compromise kaun nahin karta?”
My friend and colleague Arka, who works with me at The Telegraph and with whom I went to watch Rock On!! last night, plays the drums for a fusion band called Five Little Indians. He doesn’t usually watch Hindi films, is more of a horror film junkie and I had to almost drag him to watch the movie. Usually a restless soul, I watched him look at the screen blankly. He would hardly talk during the 150 minutes of the movie and just keep gazing up there. As if someone was sharing his story with the world. Yes, it was a story closer to his life than mine.
I don’t want to reveal how the band in Rock On!! called Magik broke up and why they agreed to jam again and how Aditya, Joe, Rob and KD return to their first love. All I can tell you is that Rock On!! is not about friendship — it’s there of course — but it’s about four individuals finding themselves. Even if they didn’t play as a band before and always wanted to as strangers, they could have come together, throw their jobs out of the window and start making music together as a band. And it’s not even about music. It could have just been cricket or painting!
Every one of us has some dream. Someone wants to write poetry, someone wants to be the next Ram Gopal Varma, someone wants to play kabaddi and Rock On!! is that fairy tale that urges you to live that dream. I don’t know whether I will be able to make that film or Arka would be able to be the best drummer around but we know now that when life passes by, you have to stop time in its tracks and make it yours.
If you have a dream left behind, in your closet or in your backyard or just at the back of your mind, watch Rock On!! It will give you a perspective, of where you are and where you could have been and whether you would want to be there.

“I don’t want to wake up
Lost in the Dreams of our Fathers
Oh, it’s such a waste child
To live and die for the
Dreams of our Fathers
Though I must confess, yes
My view is a wonder about this
This love I possess, love
Must be the Dreams of our Fathers”

Hi pratim!
its a touching article for all those who are nurturing a dream in a corner of their mind.
i agree to you to the hilt ya.. that dilemma, that doubt , that insecurity sucks every minute if we hv a dreama nd not fulfilling it.
To be frank, i went through the same dilemma for four year, for i always believe that i have a few stories to tell , i hv some great moments to shoot and i was wrking as a s/w engineer in a closed cubicle.
2 months back i finally felt that this is the time to take some action and resigned from my job and now moving to mumbai with stories and a lot of dreams.
i am reading Syd field for last 2 months and i loved his line ” Character is wht one does, not wht one says” and it gives me a feeling that i did rite by taking the first step.
I know i am human and that what propelling me forward, i wish that my soul keep on guiding me for a great jounry ahead.
Insaan hoon taakat do mujhe
insaan banane ki

bigad ke banne ki !!!
and Best of luck to you Pratim!! i know u’ll surly come up as a winner!!
Going to catch Rock on tonite!!!
Rock on !!
Excellent writeup. The kind of writeup that the movie deserves.
Ajay Saxena, all the best!! You have taken the most difficult step and, God willing, everything will be smooth sailing from here on… Very nice to hear from you…
Was in two minds over watching rock on!! You just helped me make up mind!
Fantastic movie. Totally unexpected. Even if you are not too fond of rock or music, it will grip you emotionally. Go for it.
Lovely piece. Touched me WAY more than the film.
‘mirror mirror on the screen, where the fuck have you been?’
If there’s anything nostalgic and pathetic about a story where enthusiastic NON musicians banding up and making great music, and then that one chance performance that rocks the band members as much as it rocks the audience, and that too on originals (not covers) – that story deserves to be told every year in new avatars, be it music, filmmaking, advertising or any form of entrepreneurship.
I am one such protagonist and my ANJURI band members (1999-2001) can’t agree with me or Pratim more when we say that one needs to REFUEL THAT DREAM everyday, every breathig hour. without that, we are nothing.
So every breath that Farhan Akhtar takes, every chord that Rampal strums, every grey hair on Luke Kenny’s hair & every joke that Purab cracks in ROCK ON! brings that dream alive. and not too soon, too – for the songs that we made in Anjuri in a school backyard very similar to that of Rock On’s ‘reheasal pad’, are gonna come alive soon. In an album that has been in the making since the day our band met.
Pratim, owe you a lot, ‘cos you have completed the string of thoughts that the movie started.
and i feel good that I didn’t let the songs die their unnatural death, never once thought that our album couldn’t become a reality.
Here’s to you Anjuri – Raju (the key guy), Rajesh (Elton Presley), Amit (Rhythmish), Himanshu (our own Killer Drummer) & SAM (the survivor and heritage property of the band). WE”LL ROCK ON! and that’s a promise.
Rock On! will gain cult status amongst the aspiring and the aspired alike, not only for its musical moments, but for the hope it submits in crackling celluloid language, in the arms of the young and doubtful.
If you know what i mean, what are you doing still reading this? go catch it! Dreams like these don’t last long in
our theatres…
Was going to skip lekin reviews padhke raat ka (subah 1 baje ka ) ticket nikaal ke aaya. Let’s hope the movie keeps my wife/kid awake :-)
lovely write up Pratimda….wish the film was just as good
kal sham ka pakkaaa….. I am a big fan of Farhan.
Protique I have two cliched words for you and two exclamation marks to go with it… Rock On!!
Nice Pratimda!
Very nicely written! Yes straight from the heart. Don’t have the same opinion of the movie as yours, but yes I do completely understand and respect your connection. Obviously you have been deeply moved and that is a success of the film.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Pratim Da,
We are all like that protagonist of ‘putul nach er Itikathaa’. Hopefully, you understand what I mean.
Naz8 artesia is bakwaas…they play Chamku…n all useless movies…
@lucifer_Sam,
I cudnt believe that someone will mention Shashi here at PFC, from putul nach er Itikathaa, one of the greatest works of bong lit and one of the most deserving screen adaptation candidate. thanks dude, you got the connection right.
just came back from watching the movie. For SoCal movie-goers its playing at Adlabs, Norwalk on Pioneer street in Artesia. Adlabs didnot advertise this anywhere.
Reached the theater for the 130pm show.
me: “One ticket for Rock On”
girl: passes the ticket and immediately calls on her headset “Alfanso Alfanso we have one person for Rock On”
me: checks ticket and sees 1pm printed on it “Hey lady has the movie started? I thought it was at 130″
girl: What time would you like it to start sir?
me: huh?
girl (repeats): what time would you like it to start sir?
me (dumb): 130pm?
girl: ok. the movie will start for you at 130.
me go out have lunch. come back. enter the screening hall.
I’m the only one watching Rock On in the entire theater.
This is history. August 29, 2008 130pm show for Rock On. The people at the theater played the movie for one person. me.
Besides that. I liked the movie. It has its flaws but… this is good. A feel good film.
That must have been incredible Oz… But the good thing is that they at least playd the movie for you… Here in India, the rule is that there has to be at least 5 people in the multiplex for the show to play… otherwise the ticket money is refunded… Happy that you liked the film… It’s all soul and made with mostly newcomers… This was my review for The Telegraph…
http://www.telegraphindia.com/1080830/jsp/entertainment/story_9762575.jsp
lucifer_sam, I totally understand man… That’s really a nice thought…
Haven’t watched the movie yet, but there was a word “anthemic” mentioned in the review about the music and Pratim, dear friend, without questioning your understanding of music, dont you think that word was over the top? :-) At best it was S-E-L trying to grind out what does not come naturally to them. BnB, TZP, DCH – Now that’s vintage S-E-L. Listen to the Johnny Gaddar title track (Obviously you have) – thats S-E-L at their best! This is, I daresay, pretentious. It only proves that music is a state of mind and that genres were not created just for the sake of classification.Except probably “The Beatles” you will hardly find any other musicians who have effectively cut across genres and there’s a good reason for that. S-E-L try their level best but then, the output is ordinary, one of their weakest scores of recent times. Disappointing as I love S-E-L’s music; especially the way they build around some Killer riffs (Kholo Kholo, Agar Main Kahun etc.) If you really want to listen to Rock Music in a Hindi movie, go get the soundtrack of “Paanch”. KK (read God)’s version of Khuda Hun Main and Asha Bhonsle’s(yes!) rendition of “Jism Hai” and also Dominique’s “Kya Din Kya Raat”. Now that’s authentic rock – straight from the heart!
Disclaimer: All the statements are personal opinions and by no means any attempt to judge established music composers.
Biswabijoy, good that you bring up the Johnny Gaddaar song… So you at least know what SEL is capable of… So you should know what a kickass hard rock album they could have created… But Mr Sen, Rock On!! is not, I repeat NOT, for the handful of people who understand real rock music. It’s a decision taken quite early to create a soundtrack that can be lapped by anyone and everyone… Why restrict your target group when you are making a film with a universal spirit? And that’s why there’s a song called Zahreelay in the Rock On!! soundtrack, for people like you who would question whether SEL can deliver the real rock stuff… Watch the movie and you will realise Biswabijoy, Farhan and team could have made a film just for you… but how they have also got the content to get your parents and wife interested… Here was my Rock On music review
http://www.telegraphindia.com/1080719/jsp/entertainment/story_9568960.jsp
Hey hold on!:-) I never questioned whether S-E-L can deliver real rock. I mean do I have the credentials to do that? Simply No! My opinion was only on this album. And yes, I know what they are capable of; in fact I am a die-hard fan of S-E-L. But from the album’s sound, I got an impression exactly opposite to what you mentioned (of a decision to make an universal album). To me, the sound suggested an attempt to create a hardcore Rock album, which didn’t happen.I did listen to Zahreelay and ironically that’s the song which actually underlined my impression because mere used of standard hard rock riffs and fervent drumming doesn’t a classic make (forgive my old world English :-). Then again, please understand its just a humble opinion.
In any case, its worth pondering whether there is anything called “universal” in music, at least when you see it from the point of view of the creator. There will always be people who swear by and stick to certain kinds and genres. Why only Rock; there will be people who can’t see beyond old classics. People who cant see beyond Kishore Kumar or RD Burman or AR Rahman. People who can’t see beyond Indian Classical or Metallica and Maiden. And why blame them? After all music is up to the listener’s choice! Does it mean that the musician will start creating to cater to a bigger majority?
A Footnote: Since you mentioned, I actually am more of an RD Burman fan than any rock musician:-) And honestly, my mom (again since you mentioned) loves John Lennon’s music – even “Come Together”! Which probably proves to some extent that good music always finds listeners – provided people try and get over prejudices!
Pratim… thank you for summing up our reason to tell this story in such a poetic manner. Touched by your sensitivity and candid confession.
Protique… your heart can be felt in your words. all the best for all to follow.
Thank you to all others for their love and appreciation.
Thank you Farhan for gifting our lives back to us with a dream resolution… Hope we can turn our lives around! Keep making magik!
Hi Farhan, haven’t caught the movie yet. But wanted to mention (if it means anything to you; you must be getting millions of compliments :-)that your look and the way you carried yourself as the lead singer was very authentic (from the promos, music videos and print media). Congratulations! Loved DCH and Lakshya. Hope to watch this one soon! All the best.
Warm welcome to PFC Farhan…Rock-on!!
Welcome to PFC ! Yes I want to congratulate Farhan for the fantastic acting debut. I loved him in the film. Even his singing was better than the music (IMHO).
What I liked was the acting by each and everyone in the movie ( Farhan was slightly better, just like his character ;) ). I loved the re-union of the friends in the place, full of cobwebs. It was superbly directed. Last song “tum ho to” was excellent ( only the soft singing part – so typical of SEL ). Now rest of the film – sorry to say was much below my expectations. Not impressive at all. Too much predictable and same drama all over. Including the songs-cum-noise produced by SEL. I know that I do not understand anything of the Rock genre, but for me if this is the introduction of Rock music to India, then it is a adah-patan of music. Far far away from being the best film of the year.
I hope and wish that Paanch is made differently. Eagerly waiting to see it now.
@Kcp: What do you mean by noise? Is it because you could not relate to it?The music is taken care of really well.Do you think it is fair to comment on rock music per se without having prior knowledge of rock origins?
“One man’s music is another man’s noise”
Sourav @ 37. So in a nutshell we both agree that it is noise ! For some this is good-noise. For some it is bad-noise :-)
Anyways even the chaacters in the film believe that out of the 8 songs one song could give “Depth” to the album !! And I loved only that song !!! Farhan has excelled in that one.
BTW I simply loved the English words that Purab sings to impress the girls in the party. Is it original by SEL/JavedAkhtar ? or copied from somewhere ?
I do not agree that it is noise
Oohhkkk….so all going ga-ga over this film; not one person has disliked it. Well, I was very reluctant to see it and thought I’d catch it on the dvd once its out but I guess I am getting drawn towards it; getting swayed a little by the reviews. Will see it then sometime soon.
@ Kcp – Paach and RO two completely different films even though both are based on rock music / bands. Can’t be compared. If you are referring to the music then yes, I’m not sure as I haven’t heard any songs from Paanch. But am so so wanting to watch that film.
kcp @ 39 – That song is I Will Survive which has been sung by different singers over the years. The original was by Gloria Gaynor, I guess
I read an article somewhere about the Bahu being a Babe under the sari and dyammmmmmm is the article true. Prachi’s role wasn’t long but fuh sure significant and positive. At the age of what 19 she has given a poised and mature performance and showed alot of potentional. She made Bani what it was and yet there was no Bani in Sakshi. It was just Sakshi. Take a bow lady. For me the surprise was how good Farhan and Prachi looked as husband-wife. Take bow Farhan and Prachi. Honest and Genuine acting.
Arjun surpised me with his intense portrayal of a failed man. I used to think he was a wood. He also has shown his potential. Three cheers for Arjun. More of an actor now than model. Purab was wicked funny and added the much need humor.
Overall good movie. Nice story. Well directed. Rock On ROCKS the HOUSE
WOW!!!!!!! FARHAN AKHTAR!! Some more comments pls!!
Oh yea! Finally a good movie. Kudos to the Rock On!! team for making the best movie in recent times. This movie made me so nostalgic.. am not sure what to do today!
Bravo. Keep it up.
I watched it yesterday nd what should say guys two mindbogling movies(MMJ & Rock on) in two continous weeks, superb. Now keeping my fingers cross for “A Wednesday”, I wish Neeraj Pandey will not break this symphony which isn,t created often and creating first time in 2008 by some debutents(MMJ is Nishikant kamat’s first hindi movie).
Just caught a show ,mindblowing movie ,one of the best in recent years ,if DCH was a early 20 something movie then this is early 30 something movie .I haven’t seen the audiences so silent during the entire movie ever since TZP.
IMO the difference between a good movie and a cult is that you forget about the former once you walk out of the theater ,but the latter stays etched in your mind for a long long time.
and this may just become the latter.
Some technical facts worth appreciating..Simply bowled over by Shahna Goswami’s performance as Debbie wife to Arjun Rampal who shows what he is capable of..Purab is as expected..gud….Farhan’s silent moments are excellent..Luke is competent..Prachi delivers too..And loved the movie’s production design and visual appeal..Infact performances are one big plus of the movie..Abhishek Kapoor deserves credit for this..Lyrics ,well anything karega go cool..
Though movie is really well made and that one can expect from Farhan A’s production company still on coming out of the movie i wondered why it did not pull at my heart strings..Why it stopped short of mesmerising me,which it could have..Something was amiss..This is nagging me..Any help from u Pratim in this regard?
nice…very nice…the film of course but also your earnest little write up….makes one want to stop sitting on their butt waiting for inspiration to come knocking…i really believe that it’s never too late (for u) to get started on what you always have and still want like crazy even after years of dreaming…hold on…for it’s probably getting better than what you really think
krysh i felt the same…..kuch toh kami rah gayi magar pata nahi kya…..
may be its because i saw it after reading all the rave reviews it was getting….very high expectations
sometimes can take away from the magik of any good movie
for me the best thing about the movie was the music…..
i didnt take think much of it before but during the course of the movie it sounded incredible…..i love it now….
making farhan sing the songs was a masterstroke according to me….
Watched it last night, just can’t get over it….amazing, terrific and more….now hooked on to the music!!
The rock concerts were the life and soul of the movie ,I could see people shaking their heads and waving their hands in the seats in the finale……..
now dying to get my hands on to the DVD whenever it hits the shelves ,I hope they launch a collectors edition with a separate section for those concert videos.
Very metaphorical… anybody who has ever dreamed something somewhere sometime in his lifetime, and somehow could not achieve that or eventually was able to, is gonna love this phenomenon, and moreover I can see people talking their heart out.. Thanks Farhan
Hi all!
Came back to find your comments, Pratimda & Farhan. Thanks for the encouragement!
What i forgot to add last time around was that the film is also special because its release summed up a month that also released 50% of my dreams… lyrics for a music album. It’s called RISHI, and its Hindipop, released by Universal in August, available everywhere now. I invite everyone to pick up a copy and listen to it – its a 4 year long gruelling effort coming to fruit, one in probably a thousand worthy ones in this country, believe me. what with the lack of empathy for new musicians that India’s music industry displays.
http://www.telegraphindia.com/1080822/jsp/jharkhand/story_9726746.jsp
So when I was watching Magik going through the rigmarole of compromising with the integrity of their muusic in favour of so-called ‘market demands’, I felt like barging into the room and helping the Fab 4 fight a little more before giving in to the producer and his lackey! How insensitive and what temerity do people have to like a band and their songs, and then cut them down to size for the market – which is apparently only inhabited by incompetent and boorish bastards like him!
I was the songwriter and lead singer of Anjuri (the band I mentioned in my last post) 7-8 years ago – and my lyrical work has now found a commercial space; it’s a huge thing to be able to come from nowhere and make a mark with very few ‘compromises’ (in Rock On!! lingo).
Back to the film… From what I gather from various reviews and comments, much is being made of the movie’s pace, SEL’s straying from the rock pattern, the length of the music shows, and below all else, a comparison with DCH.
I have only this to say: when DCH was out, it got rave reviews and got compared to DDLJ and how different it was from that landmark and the formula films that followed it, DDLJ in turn had been compared to QSQT & Hum AAPke Hain Kaun and was seen as a leap forward, similarly QSQT was said to have ended an era of violence started by Sholay and mastered by Ghayal/Parinda, and Sholay when it hit the theatres, was discounted as an ambitious Western with too many characters and one liners but nothing holding it together, unlike the previous superhits like Zanjeer & Deewaar (all incidentally penned by Farhan’s dad along with Salimsaa’b). I think we are so impoversihed of good Indian cinema that we want to hang on to the last good film we saw and it was always ‘quite sometime ago’ and how none comes quite close – we are afraid of losing our last great film and yileding the floor to a rookie.
It is easy to discount the film we just saw yesterday as boring or lengthy or too full of music, but can anyone bet whether with time, these brillaintly shot long rock concerts will not become a trademark of ‘musicals’ to come OR whether rock bands will not be approached for composing music for Bollywood OR whether more actors will not take up singing for their screen roles if they can, like Banderas did for Evita or Richard Gere did for Chicago OR whether it will start a trend where tiffs between husband and wife will not be restricted to ‘main ab yeh aur sah nahin sakti, main yeh ghar chhodke ja rahi hoon’ but become more dramatic, agonisingly long and real, OR whether more reticent and sad characters a la Jo will not be written to pack a silent punch in the film OR whether more creative storytelling techniques like 2 past & present parallel tracks and 2 separate starting points to build intrigue, would not be devised.
We don’t know, but in another year, we’ll definitely still be referring to Rock On!! as a movie that not only revolutionised the Rock music scene in Bollywood, but also told a 4-pronged story quite plausibly and with remarkable originality in craft. How many films in 2007 & 2008 have done at least that? Probably 3. And how many of them had veteran directors helming the project? NONE.
In times to come, there probably will be better chronicles of Rock bands and their alternative head & crotch gear, dope sessions, and groupies and wild nights, and fiery band tiffs. Let that time come.
Till then we have to Rock ON!! because the fact is that it’s a pioneer, and it will be always remembered as that. Every improved version will always be compared to this one.
And that’s the gutsy spirit of the producers and director of Rock On!! one needs to salute.
hi everyone -pratim thanks for a rockin review- and the fact that i actually read it after watching the movie helped me empathize with it all the more .Farhan and all concerned with the movie – i can’t begin to thank you enough for making this movie -for all its faults -its a movie abt dreams -and the guts to live them out.lets not get into technicalities -its just a wonderful wonderful movie. period
if i someday have the guts to chuck it all and go after my repressed dreamz -this will be one of the inspirations.
biswarup ,i’m so glad you brought up paanch – yes now that sar jhukha khuda hoon main was an anthem -its a pity it went largely unnoticed by the main stream – can u imagine the kind of impact that song would have had if it were doen by a big band. kk -as u say -is god.
partha
Hi Pratim Da
I hated it when you raved about this film and felt you have lost it. A film about losers and makes you feel good! Ya right. And then it followed.
“I had a band”
“the film reminded me of…”
And then the songs I never heard. I moved on.
Today I was watching A Wednesday. It took me 20 mins or so, and I attempted what I recently did in some theaters outside India. I walked out and scouted for another screen. The next screen is playing Rock On. And I thought ya right, at least the bewitched fake audience of this film wouldn’t mind me walking in. I walked in. pichle saat dino was on. And I remembered what Mitch said about the camera. Then so many thoughts surfaced. I was sitting in the second row from the screen, hiding myself. It was that kind of feeling. And there it was. I was right, I said to myself. What a fake film. But ya, it went on and though I hardly cared for what was going on, I did what I hated doing.
So this is me now.
I had a band for exactly 2 months in college. It had a lame name like Magik. It was called Ripples. We were never meant to make it. We never did. I never even scored a single date with it. I don’t know if I ever intended to do it. I just wanted to learn the guitar and may be compose a few songs. So I did that. Few years later, in some other college, one song I did on the same tune that was rejected by Ripples with different words this time became an anthem. I dropped out of the place soon. A year later, I stumbled about some batchmate blogging about how they had sung the same song at the farewell and dedicated it to my ‘rebellious’ streak. Whatever that meant. I don’t know if I felt good. I went on.
In all these years, I have seen videos and played songs and seen films and written about music and written songs off and embraced some other songs. I even bought a couple of guitars and all the jazz that comes with them. I still don’t know if I am a musician. May be I will never know. I never would like to meet the Ripples guys. May be only I was Ripples. May be it was an illusion. Like the songs I wanted to dedicate to this girl but were too ‘gay’ for the band. I wonder if anyone hardly even remembers what we were called. I always felt embarrassed about that name though. I wish we were called Psychotic Gurus or something. I had a whole list ready. But I never felt like ‘doing’ the music. It was always lets listen to this and get inspired, wow we should do something like this, listen to this and may be add some punch, yes I know I start all songs with G D A….
The film, I don’t know was great or not, I was too lost inside of me. So then I thought of this article of yours and thought will leave you a note.
By the way, I had to walk out again in the basement reunion scene, as my family was done with A Wednesday.
Love
Tushar
thanks tushar for leaving this note… it sure created a ripple in my mind… hope the pleasure in the pain is as pleasurable as the pain in the pleasure… what more can i say? my heart’s in my throat brother… take care.
OK I am the last person to sound inspirational but jammed with the songs(the album) twice in a row, and felt good. So guys, I am sure your guitar and processor and amp which might have gathered all that dust and neglect wouldn’t still have given up hope and its mojo. So pick it up and have some fun on me tonight. You might not make music but that’s not the point.Peace.
And Pratim Da, let me add lets not let this go as some sad confession box thing, we are smiling at the end of it, at least I am. So if anyone thinks this is some sadass loser forum, think again. And do take this forward. I don’t know if it is the film or you who deserves more praise, but surely make this a story, I will be glad to pool in with whatever I can.
