Run Raj, Run! The Tiger Cometh…
Continuing yesterday’s story of Amitabh’s symbolization of dominating North Indian’s in Mumbai, Raj Thackeray was in for a dressing down from the original Sena Tiger, Mr. Bala Saheb who played the political game of backing the Big B. Just wondering here, if the tables were turned, what are the chances of Raj doing the same as his uncle. Duh! So predictable are Indian Politics…
Amitabh is Amitabh roared the tiger, and man, did he look it too…![]()
Hindu reports:
Breaking his silence on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray’s outbursts against north Indians, Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray on Wednesday said making parochial allegations against actor Amitabh Bachchan was plain foolishness.”
According to Indian Express:
“The allegations are nothing but stupidity”, Thackeray said in a statement, deriding the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief’s allegation that Bachchan always gave priority to Uttar Pradesh over Maharashtra, sparking attacks on North Indians in the city and some parts of the state.
Now that’s what I call a proportional response. Added to that, Mumbai strong man took a digg at Raj too, least he is seen as Pro-North Indian to please his party’s lost cousin, the Congress High Command (of ONE) - not the party/cadre/people mind you!
“This is one country. All people have contributed to the economic development of Mumbai. It is a collective effort. The talent that comes to Mumbai contributes to the development of the city and the State.
“Mumbai is not an investment destination any more. It is more a service center with entertainment, port and airport, among other things. Its total face is changing. This controversy is totally unnecessary. The media is also responsible for giving it undue publicity.”
Amid all this, the congress in the center jumped in with swift instructions to prosecute. Now, I am wondering, isn’t there separation of state an center in all matter convenient like fuel prices, commodity prices and basic amenities??? Hindustan Times caught the AICC sec saying:
“The Maharashtra government is discussing with the Advocate General and the legal team whether Raj Thackeray can be booked for the provocative statements he has made and under what section he can be prosecuted,” said AICC’s M. Veerappa Moily.
So now, its all hotting up big-time in Mumbai and in Delhi and in all the thousand’s of cubicle’s world wide as to what is going to be the fate of Raj Thackeray’s agitation against Northies in mumbai… keep watching this space for more…
