Anil Kapoor could certainly do with a little class. People seem to defend him saying he is excited and like a baby and all that shit. But come on. An actor of his stature, with his experience does not need to hog the limelight. Now I know why Boyle & Tandon cast him in the role of Prem.

He starts running to the stage as if the award was just for him without waiting for the rest of the cast. Maybe someone should remind him that unlike his other films, he is not the hero of this one.

But yes. Obama becomes president. 4 Indians on that SAG Awards stage, Rahman winning a globe and getting nominated for 3 oscars along with MIA & Gulzar. America sure is changing.

get off from AK , i saw the clip a couple of times . i didn’t find him not “classy” …at end he waited for others to join before reaching podium .

also being senior most . i don’t mind him taking award and giving speech ..and moreover he gave credit to all others crew

anyway , happy to see Indians to get recognized at America(world) stage. picture to abhi shuru hui hain

he was behaving like a child in a candy shop. almost tripped over dev patel, first on stage and already accepted the award even while the remaining three had only reached the stairs.

great moment for hindi cinema..Anil Kapoor & Irfan Khan at the SAG awards as winners..I dnt hv a high opinion abt the film itself(u can read my comments abt it on various threads..latest being at http://passionforcinema.com/why-slam-slumdog/ ) but its overwhelming to see this..Anil Kapoor has been an exciting performer throughout his career & Irfan Khan’s talent needs no introduction..but why didnt they get the child actors frm the film fr the awards?..its an awards for the cast..isnt it?

Man! I know its a big thing for Anil Kapoor to grab that award, but he didn’t let Dev and Irfan talk even a bit! Frieda spoke a few after ‘requesting’ anil.

But anyways, that ok I guess, atleast he didn’t cry!

Anil kapoor was over-excited , but I will stop being critical about it. its an award show and they did earn the award and were nominated by fellow actors, so that would go down as an achievement for indian actors atleast. It was nice to see them on stage. proud moment for sure.
After all, this was not some screen awards with Sajid hosting it …LOL

I really like Freida Pinto…she carries herself well and talks selectively, without a lot of umming and aahing (unlike almost every other actress from India who has spoken in foreign realms).

But that’s besides the point, this is happy news. Recognition and awards keep things rolling.

Fucking surreal man! Seeing Anil Kapoor holding an SAG award…and 2 newcomers with our old-horse of off-shore cinema Irfan on stage being applauded by the cream of Hollywood.

I remember seeing this that night, and I was thinking to myself: how disgraceful. Here is a man that should have so much elegance due to his past, but acted purely like a child on sugar. Most movies that win the top award generally send the director and the top two protagonists of the story. Sorry, but I truly do believe he should of shown some manners to his fellow cast members. I’m glad that he wasn’t refrained from speaking tonight at the Oscars–although, you could see how bad he wanted the mic as he stood right next to it.

Anil Kapoor as talented as he may be/was…is disgraceful.
