    Sherlock Holmes is my hero;
    And ‘Robert Downey Jr’ is my favorite actor,

    But; I cant digest the idea of ‘Robert Downey Jr’ acting as Sherlock Holmes,.
    No no

    I would prefer somebody like Jeremy Brett or someone who fit the Arthur Conan Doyle’s description,

    Ya..this one film has an really unusual star cast..except for Rachel Macadams who plays SH’s elusive love interest. For the kind of actress she is and choices she makes, she taking up or being given (not sure which worked first) this role is not surprising.

    I don’t know if its going to work…I can’t see anyone else fit in as Sherlock Holmes other than Jeremy Brett…I grew up watching him as Sherlock. But Guy Ritchie makes good movies and he is really good with English characters. I am surely going to watch it.

    I can’t really imagine any one other than Jeremy Brett playing as Sherlock… though i respect Downey Jr. Loved Tropic Thunder like hell… though that was because of Ben Stiller

    Without taking anything away from Jeremy Brett (who created the Sherlock Holmes we all know), I think Robert Downey Jr.’s style will actually suit the character of Sherlock Holmes quite well. It worked for Iron Man, and for the same reason it’ll work for Sherlock Holmes.
