Sin NombreDirected by a Japanese, a story about South Americans, the journey to “North”… the land of dreams, harsh gang realities in the guts of Mexico, love lost, struggles to reach a dream… this is a universal story about love, courage, life and its non-sweetners dished out on cold plates. Highly recommended by Anurag Kashyap, we went in and came out dripped in a meloncholy so aptly described by the song in the closing credits. A must see.

Most importantly – his first feature. Can’t wait to see it.

Btw, he’s American. Grew up in the Bay Area, I think. Japanese descent.
