Some unanimous conclusions
- yashpal sharma (the imtiaz cop in ab tak 56) is just JAW DROPPINGLY funny embarassment in the title song …
- javed jaffry does an anil-kapoor-Tashan (mouths dialouges which no one seems to be understanding)
- the blind girl scene (aap God ho ya God ke messengers) is unintentional hilarity
- the shaadi in the end ..for a good 5 seconds..the Pandit (some random extra) is staring into the camera ..SUPERB !!!
-katrina kaif cannot speak hindi no matter what she does with salman khan ..may be she shld do with Salim khan wat she is doing with sallu ..so that she can learn hindi
-Akshay kumar does an Amitabh bachchan of the 80s where even a random bad movie starring him would be a BIG Hit ….
- pace is fast
- 1st half is ‘indiferrent’/ok ..2nd half is despertly tring to be have that munnabhai feel
- i liked the film ..masala vokay dokay types …at 70 bucks its ok …. not worth 140 bucks though …
- perhaps Om puri didnt have dates so he was bumped off the climax and made to go drunk
- THANK GOD kirron Kher isn’t showing her cleavge in the film. the skin show job is given to Neha Dhupia – cleavage + thighs
- Long shots were so difocussed … Why ???
-Punjab was captured well …
- I liked two songs in the film .. the teri oor (???) song with shreya and rahat fateh ali khan was too good … the other egypt waala song was nice too …..
Sidetrack – By the way Chandan cinema was the place wasan saw Satya … today we saw the director Anees Bazmee checking out the audience response there… I was thinking of approaching him to blog for pfc ..but didnt react after a point …

Yea man…..second you……it’s downright offensive and ugly…..it’s one thing to say that Katrina is a dumb actress ,but that doesn’t make her a dumb woman by any standard.
With this statement you have reduced her to the status of a… (don’t even wanna spell the word).
On the contrary I find her quite smart in the sense that she knows her strengths and weaknesses and she plays accordingly.

One thing I fail to understand is why’s PFC behaving this way these days.
Here’s a movie that probably no one with any brains would like. To make matters worse, it’s overhyped. It’s everywhere in the media. What’s the point of publicizing it all the more. Remember, there’s no such thing as negative publicity. People hardly know When Nagesh’s Aashayein is releasing. I’m yet to see a post on it. How many ppl know when Mumbai Meri Jaan is releasing?
It’s high time we focus our attention to the things we love. I would much rather want to see a post on Rock on rather than ramblings on a film that doesn’t merit a mention. Ideally there should have been one single condemning post on this movie and end of it.

Subhasish, this is because of our frustrations.Its 2008 and the entire media is going ga ga over a film which will probably feature in one of the worst films of the decade.To make matters worse it is touted as “the biggest hit ever” or “whatever”.Its earning “big” money everywhere which is a dangerous sign because now 50 more films will follow which will be even bigger in scale and will follow the same pattern.The frustration is less because of this particular film but more about the state of the industry and what is going to come!!!!

If this question is why did I post the review of Singh Is King- then the answer is simple. I got a press invite from my professional associates (the same one who invited me to Black Friday screening)in Reliance Adlabs and they asked me to write a review on the web and write how I feel, not forced me to write good things, neither for Singh nor for Black Friday.
If Nagesh is willing to share info on Aashayein or Farhan on Let’s Rock, I’ll write on PfC for it. Between running around getting my film made and my CPA life, I don’t have the time or inclination to seek out stories or reviews. If I get invited to write a review I’ll write and that could be a review liking a “typically Bollywood” film like Singh Is King or disliking a “typically different” film like No Smoking. Plain and Simple. Reliance/ADLABS have nothing to do wiht my film ( cause the kind of films I do plan to make and get an opportunity, will not be liked/distributed by Reliance/ADLABS anayway, I think,so the review was not done to please them or anyone else).

Katrina’s hindi has improved a great deal since her earlier movies – and come on let’s get real. Katrina’s role didn’t need her to speak much either – plus her character had lived abroad so i think the way she spoke related to the character!
as for the movie – it’s a brain dead comedy … remember comedy guys … they don’t need a story plot they just need to get the audiences laughing which is what this movie proves to be doing.
