Slumdog Millionaire

Since our last report on Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire creating ripples at Telluride Film Fest, it’s now Toronto’s turn to give the movie a wild ovation. The movie now is the talk of the town and is being talked about as the strongest contender for the Oscars next year. Here’s a clip from the movie found on YouTube. The movie stars Dev Patel, Madhur Mittal, Freida Pinto, Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan and is slated for a Nov 28th release. Clip Tip: Keval Raval.

    this makes me angry.. and indian industry is still shelling out.. run of the mill movies.. what a great original plot

    Yup. And it seems pretty conincidental. I mean typical Bollywood style. If I’d seen it at random would have never thot it to be a DB film…

    Very off tangent message. I might be way off over here as I have not yet seen the movie. But I trust the Indian news media :-)

    They will definitely draw comparisons between Prem Kumar (The show host in TSM) and SRK,AB. And create a new media-fueled rivalry between AK, SRK and AB.

    I hope I am proved wrong.

    The movie sure looks very promising.

    Wow! Waiting for film to be released in India. Danny Boyle tried both AB & SRK for the role but they denied. So they can be grumpy over the fact that film is getting all praises or SHUT UP! :P
