It’s bloody delightful. And Helena Bonham Carter is the best thing about it.

absolutely…
had the good fortune of watching it in a theatre…
i liked sacha Borat cohen’s performance too…
and ofcourse Johnny depp hardly goes wrong……
my first musical and certainly not the last….any recommendations ?
Hmm… I love musicals- watch ‘Chicago’ and ‘Moulin Rouge’- both excellent in their own way. There are also of course the old classics like ‘Singing In The Rain’ and ‘Sound of Music’ and other new ones like ‘Once’ and ‘Hairspray’ which I am yet to see, but they are apparently good.
Kickass Movie. Loved the small boy particularly. (Don’t remember his name)
~
True lyrical excellence.
The boy’s name is Ed Sanders. Yeah, he was damn good too.
@ jahan
thanks for the recommendations….
@ Jahan – ‘Once’: Watch this film atleast once..
Story, music, lyrics, acting, ending,….a perfect blend…
Was watching it a few days back, Arthi… and fell asleep. Haven’t found the time or inclination to revisit it since. Still, will definitely see it ‘once’ on your recco!:)
‘Once’ is a little gem.
I still remember the tagline on the poster…
”You’ll want to watch it more than the title suggests”…
True.
I actually saw ‘Once’ by chance.
I travelled miles and miles to a cinema to see Tony Gatlifs ‘Transylvania’, and happened to find this movie there.
So, so glad that I caught it.
Quite magical, actually.
