The biggest reason I was looking forward to Sorry Bhai, was Chitrangada Singh and her belated comeback. I expected Sorry Bhai to be a good movie since it has an ensemble cast, an alluring story line, beautiful visuals and a sensitive director.

Well, neither Chitrangada Singh nor the movie actually disappointed. In retrospect, it is actually a good movie. I’d definitely recommend every one to go out and watch it, there’s no doubting that. It’s just that You might have expected a little more. Almost the same happened to me with Rock On also. There was so much expectation. But one thing is for sure. It’s definitely worth a watch. Sorry Bhai Teaser and PFCOne Winner’s Experience

Safat Ali, from Rajasthan, had blown us away with his one minute movies he had submitted last year to PFCOne 2007. He won the Silver Minute award for his hard work. So when we approached him with our list of awards to choose from, we did not realize that he was a big fan of Onir’s work. From the entire range of internships with writers and directors that we offered him, he was quick to choose Onir’s next project.

The next project was ‘Sorry Bhai’. Since Onir was busy and was a bit let down by the crap and vitriol of some commenters on his blog, he decided to take a break (from blogging about the movie)

SORRY BHAI!

Been wanting to write for PFC for some time now… a lot has been happening and despite wanting to, I have not had the time. So SORRY BHAI!

I do not know where to start. Suddenly the shoot is over. The first cut ready and I am in the midst of the CHITRANGDA comeback phenomena. How do I react? When I approached her for the film. I desperately wanted her to say a yes, because she suited the character of Aliyah perfectly, and I loved her as an actress in Hazaron Also, I was one month away from shoot and had no actress. There was a lot at stake. The trust and dates of all my actors. A lot of financial investment had already gone into the film and I was really worried. What if I did not get the correct cast and had to push the film …
