Ask Ben Kingsley to emote, fight, dance, sing and do comedy in a single movie…ask him to make most unconvincing scenes look convincing, ask him to work without script and make a movie hit and then compare the two.
For me, Sir Kingsley will always remain a good actor, irrespective of the film industry he represents. But just to prove him great I’ll never denounce any other star, specially of AB’s caliber. I am staying in this part of the world for almost two years now and have observed this weird thing. Our very own people who came here for studies or are migrants, whole heartedly defend this country but I have never seen them defending India in such manner…just an observation, nothing to do with your comment though. Ghar ki murgi hameshaa daal baraabar hi hoti hai…sigh!!

Thanks for making it clear that you dont like AB.Its very true that for a long part of his career- the ’star’ in him was @ the forefront while the actor was in the backseat.But you are just unaware that in the last 7-8 years , the actor in him is back in the forefront.and I really find it silly when someone from the industry ( as you call yourself ) is making a big fuss by saying AB is not good, Robert De Niro is good & all that crap.Grow up dude, actors in Hollywood & Bollywood are working in different dimensions.And Irfan Khan would be shell shocked if he were to read whatever you’ve written

People don’t like Bachhan sir just because he is a superstar ,he is a really humble and honest man who is very hard working, and really cares about his fans, but I guess it’s pointless telling you all this coz all these things are beyond your comprehension.
And as far as Bachhan Sir’s acting is concerned he has time and again proved critics wrong by doing challenging roles but people just love bashing him ,why ?…coz he’s a superstar ,people say that he plays himself on the screen rather than the character ,I guess it’s the other way round, people are so used to seeing him that whatever he does ,people fail to see the character that he is playing ,be it Aks ,Main Azaad Hoon, Black ,Cheeni Kum or Rituparno’s Last Lear ,people are never satisfied and love to call him a bad actor.

i read synopsis of TEEN PATTI…. i was really disappointed and angry to find that it has so close resemblance to movie “21″ that i suspect it’s total lift from the hollywood film…. or is it official remake?… if it it total lift, then i am so surprised to see Ben Kingsley working in it…. can any one put some light on it?….
