    Like it where Gulzar says” Dekhe aapne kya kartab dikhaye the”…

    Any idea when was this recorded? I mean the year..RD’s voice sounds a bit hoarse…Maybe just before his premature demise?

    Oz and Gattu … thanks for this one ..

    Again the real gem was listening to Asha and Gulzar again .. I love Asha Bhosle … the zest for life … the spark in her voice … the mischevious charm .. wow ..

    Did u notice they are talking about a song which was sung by Lata .. Who the hell said ther is rivalry between the two sisters ???

    Between yeah Om, PanchamDa does sound a little hoarse. As usual ur are very observant …

    Okay, Can any of you tell me which latest Hindi song (a couple of years old, i think) copied this classic track’s tune?

  8. Sangeeta on December 19th, 2006 12:48 am

    HG I need to listen to the track to get the tune in my head before I could even hazzard a guess.

  9. Honhaar Goonda on December 19th, 2006 1:21 am

    when you guys say HG - I feel like you guys calling me the Hydrogen(Hg) Guy! Anyway, i think this (original) track is in your music library .

  10. Sangeeta on December 19th, 2006 1:24 am

    I do have the original - not at work sadly. Sorry Kiddo, I don’t like calling you Goonda - I’d much prefer calling you by the beautiful name your mummy named you 8-|

    @Om,

    Yes this was recorded in 1992-93 and was on air under the popular aakashvaani program “Sangeet Sarita” with the title “Meri Sangeet Yatra” (Morning 7.30-7.45) during Feb 94 onwards for total 15 episodes.. The program featured conversation of Gulzar, Asha and Pancham on Pancham’s musical journey..

    Sangeet Sarita often (once in 5-6 years.. like they did earlier this year too) repeats this specific recording as series (15 eps) in Sangeet Sarita.. Though I got all the 15 eps from gulzar saab, We keep requesting gulzar saab to release this recording for all the fans and A few years back when Gulzar saab came back with another tribute album on Pancham titled “Pancham Beats” (HMV), he included lots of snippets of this program… a must for all gulzar-pancham fans…
