The FOUNTAIN

1/5. One of the worst films I have seen in a long time. I will not watch Rachel Weisz for some time now. I wonder if Darren Aronofsky can make anything more painful to watch.

Were you on drugs when you saw this movie? I suppose you are the kind who goes gaga on Om Shanti Om
Angeleyes
I don’t think even drugs can save this movie.
I have not seen Om Shanti Om.
Apologies for not having refined taste like yours when it comes to movies. Not everybody is equal, you know!
@Angeleyes, that’s unfair- it’s his opinion. Many people have not liked it.
@Mainak, what’s your take on Requiem For A Dream? it’s the only Darren Aronofsky I’ve seen yet. Will see The Fountain soon- let me see what I make of that.
I loved Requim for A Dream.
Aronofsky is a great Talent. I hope he has not run out of it.
The film is flawed and there is no sense in arguing. But the film has its moments, the premise has its moments. I remember going mad with excitement the dy I landed the DVD. But you can’t just say what you said about a film. I mean forget Aronofsky, how can anyone run out of talent? Is it a physical thing or what? And this is the guy who’s made Pi. It gives me goosebumps every single time I watch it. This is the guy who’s made Requiem, the film that I will not watch again ever – so brutual it is. He is a master, Mainak. Many rate him as high as Kubrick. My experience tells me to beware of everything you cannot understand. It usually makes sense at some point in time when you least expect it. I hope you will be more forthcoming than just saying a film was painful. Like you have here..
Lost Talent!
