Very excited to watch it. Ebert has given it a 4.
The key is Steven Soderbergh now is in a position to make films he wants to, tell the stories he wants to, in the manner and budget he wants to. That is success and triumph to achieve that in a capitalist society we all live by and in.
And full kudos to Matt Damon for trying this out. It would be practically unthinkable for a mainstream Indian actor to go ugly, crazy, half bald to jump into a role, which isn’t even a role of a lifetime, a role in a story – that is absolutely clear it targets a small group of listeners (viewers), and isn’t aiming for festivals or cups or contest or awards.
These guys are having the time of their lives. Telling simple stories, small budgets, enjoying it and getting to do it!

And yet, it was so sad and depressing to hear him say “I can see the end of his career”

Kamal Haasan in Mayor Saab (hard core masala, I don’t think Kamal was interested in anything other than trying a new role), Amitabh Bachchan in upcoming Pa – examples of unimpressive getup in a role that could go into oblivion.
I will rate this one 3/5. I like the way these guys (Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney, Matt Damon) work it out. They come out with Ocean’s series, make money and also come out with such important movies.
Watched the trailer of Michael Moore’s “Capitalism- A love story”. I’m eagerly waiting for it.

Have you heard of ‘Moneyball’?! :p
No one is above the maw ;)
I would say 3 on 5. Nice watch.
Awesome movie! A must watch!
another film on corporate greed from the land of corporation…but well done with a tinge of humor as well as unpredictability…definitely recommended…
