Another thing I didnt know about.. (well not just the fact that it involves the resurrected Batman) that theres a Golden Trailer Awards!!!
and guess who won it ?? no prizes for guessing.
After a long, hard-fought battle, the second official trailer for The Dark Knight took home top honors at this year’s Golden Trailer Awards (with a margin of victory of 44%). The contest, held over at USA Today, tallied votes on films from several different categories — all of which were chosen as this year’s Golden Trailer winners earlier in the month. Among the top trailers users had a chance to vote on were Enchanted (Best Animation/Family), Tropic Thunder (Best Comedy), Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? (Best Documentary), No Country for Old Men (Best Drama), I am Legend (Best Horror) and Iron Man (Summer 2008 Blockbuster), among others. While there are certainly other trailers I would’ve picked to win their respective category (Pineapple Express, for one), I think we can probably all agree that The Dark Knight trailer is definitely tops.

Here are a few excerpts from the man himself, talking about the Batsuit and the Joker, played by Heath Ledger, in an interview with Adam Higginbotham @ the Gadabout
The Batsuit
I was standing on the back lot where they were creating the suit, and I had a few minutes to myself, staring up close in the mirror, just thinking, “This isn’t going to work. I’m claustrophobic, I can’t breathe, I’m getting a headache already, and this is all going to go very badly.” I just said to myself, “Breathe deeply for a few minutes. Try this out. Don’t run around yelling and making an ass of yourself trying to pull the whole thing off.” I wasn’t going to get it off by myself. It takes three people. I just had flashes of what an asshole I would feel like saying “Well, I wasn’t able to play that character, because I panicked every time I got in the suit.”
About Heath
He was incredibly intense in his performance but incredibly mellow and laid-back. Certainly there was this great anarchistic streak to it–just getting dirtier than anybody’s envisioned the Joker before. This character has power because he has no limits–absolutely nothing to lose.
How has Ledger’s death changed the way you look at the film?
Naturally it was something I wanted to share with him–and expected to do so. And I can’t do anything else but hope that it will be an absolutely appropriate celebration of his work.

Dark Knight was much anticipated. now, after all the tragedies and performances surrounding it, this is one movie everyone wants to watch. hopefully it will deliver, hope it wont turn out like spidey 3. awesome trailer rest all bakwaas!

Dark Knight, Recently at the promax conference i saw the trailer of dark knight again but… i saw it along with the old tim burton batman trailer. believe it or not there are the same. i thought these guys must have have done it on purpose. try and source the old trailer and find out for yourself.

yup..CB is just 34 and is just so amazing. Can’t seem to picture any other actor as Batman. Really liked him in ‘Prestige’ too. Wanting to see ‘The American Pyscho’ but unable to get the DVD yet…hopefully soon though….
