The Shooting Script of Brick

I recently saw Brick on DVD. Though I didn’t connect with the story – I thought the director Rian Johnson did show talent and style to unfold a story. Will be looking forward to his next project. But Brick was too way over the top for me – like an eggheaded Bollywood venture – the kind where people speak dialogues which we would never speak in real life, in that manner or way.
High school students brooding, horrifyingly “acting” in front of the camera, talking about “tailing”, “detective” work etc. which for a moment makes you think if the movie is actually from some alien world.
But nevertheless it did have it’s moments.
The script of Brick is out on the net and here’s the link
Check out the introduction, the actual script (with footnotes!), the original write that includes illustrations or get all three of them here.
Your reactions if any on reading the script would be great!

Just saw the movie. . .its like an alternate reality . .it is a noir story located in a high school. . .the director has done quite an interesting experiment . . .Dashell Hamett and Raymond Chandler meet the mainstream high school story
i will have to backfind articles here…quite a few more films unknown films would come up.
This film was wonderful….waiting for RJ’s next The brothers bloom. Tx for this…
