Hi
i had seen this play sometime last month when it was showing at Prithvi. I really liked the play and also got a chance to see my favourite Indian director in flesh n blood:) who also happens to be the producer of the play => Anurag Kashyap.
Have written a review of the play at this address

take care
ciao

When can we expect the release of Gulaal DVD?
Anurag sir
I feel so sad that i could not see this piece of art from you.As im from this far end, Kerala and one among the biggest fans of your cult n craft!
I haven’t missed any works of yours after i watched NO SMOKING.n became an addict!
whether it is DevD,Gulaal,Black Friday, or Satya.
I wanted to write a personal mail to you then was i came across your postings in PFC!
Anurag sir you are my idol my inspiration to walk a different path.
Hailz n Long Live sir.!
SJ.
Dear Sir.
News reports say that you are working on a movie based on the ‘Doga’ character from Raj Comics.
Could you please write a blog post giving us a few hints as to what the movie is shaping up to be?
From a superhero movie fan-Arr0w
Wasn’t Paach supposed to come out sometime in April or May? What happened?
hi anurag….i recently saw gulal…..great film.
i have seen black friday, dev d, and gulal……all three are superb films, keep it up and all the best.
i have got no smoking today..will see the movie this weekend
i forgot to commend you on gulal….it has some awesome scenes and dialogues which i didn’t come across earlier ..was a pleasant surprise!
just saw no smoking……didn’t like it …….it just wasn’t as interesting as some your other films
Anurag! as it is well heard that you going to make a movie on famous cartoon character ‘Doga’; when do we expect the project to go on floor and how much did you pay to get the rights for Doga’s character?
gud writeup man after a long gap..
Would have been great if the play was bought to lill affordable venue in b’lore. wanted to watch it badly. 500 for a play. my theater gods will hit me hard. are we multiplexing drama too.
Well Rangshankara gave us dates and cancelled it.. ask them why.. we had no other way to cover our costs..
agree rangashankara has its queer ways. but with the hindu prize i thought it would have been easy to pull in RS. all the best but
Well I actually went to Kyra and it was a terrible experience. They stuck us in a corner on the balcony, could only see half the stage from where I sat! A great play wasted because of the venue.
good morning sir
i wont waste ur tym i came today for the seminar at mumbai university
i wanted to ask one question but was not possible
i want to start my carrer in film direction i have done 4 week course from london film academy so i think i have got the basics
would you suggest me to do 1 yr course or should i start assting sum director
i m very confused so plz reply nd try to help me out
great play! though i STRONGLY feel it could hv been titled
” the goose is out “
Anurag,
You remind me of Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese…
No Smoking… is one of my top favorite (watched it recently…) In order to reach mass (commercial), we can reduce the complexity without compromising message. For example… take PIXAR movies… superb script/concept and reaches mass very well.
I love complexity… provided we (movie making capacity) do not get impacted by commercial success.
Gulaal… remind me of “Gita”… “Yudhh hee to veer ka praman hai”
terrific to see some beautiful poetry…
One observation on Gulaal… – all background intensity, music, connecting elements – winding-up in college politics? College politics is big in (i know Allahabad, Lucknow university politics etc…) but not good enough for the platform you created. You could have magnified the agenda…
neverthless i loved each and every bit of it…
you got solid team.. Piyush Mishra, KK, Raja Chaudhary etc (Is Raja Shweta husband?)
will meet you once in Bombay… with some cool scripts.
