Aniruddha actually gave me a tip that the trailer was released…I liked the look, i liked how the gradual change in the guys happen..etc..i am hooked..for sure…Mid-Life Crisis…music..passion..what else? bas..enough for me to take a look

  3. Vivek H on June 23rd, 2008 11:04 pm

Trailer looks quite promising though. I hope the songs will be good… some real rock.. Any idea who’s scoring the music?

  4. axw11 on June 24th, 2008 6:22 am

If I am not mistaken, the guitar riff in the song in the promo is the one playing in the background of Hrithik’s climb on the mountain in Lakshya…

  5. Anand Kadam on June 24th, 2008 6:29 am

axw11 ..yes its the one from Lakshya

  6. kcp on June 24th, 2008 6:50 am

also it is not directed by Farhan :(
Is the director anyway related to DCH ?

  7. kcp on June 24th, 2008 6:56 am

music is by SEL…I am afraid that it will be all NOISE, looking at SEL’s recent “rock” compositions !! Also Farhan is singing the songs himself !! OMG !!

  8. Mitch on June 24th, 2008 7:00 am

Looks really cool. Waiting for it.

  9. Arthi V on June 24th, 2008 8:35 am

The director is one Abhishek Kapoor. I expected this movie to be an original but when I got to kno that this is the director who gave us a movie called Aryan (*ing the superflop actor Sohail Khan and an Ash look alike) my expectations have just plummeted…

  10. Aniruddha on June 24th, 2008 9:10 am

@ Om bhai…I am glad that you liked it. And even Oz bhai liked it :)

@ axw11…yep its the same as the Lakshya tune…but that was also by SEL…and it was a Farhan Akhtar production…

@ Arthi V…I agree he made the horrible Aryan, but if you see Aryan, Abhishek Kapoor did a fairly good job @ technical field. He seems a fairly technically sound director. I just hope that with Farhan Akhtar by his side he really rocks it this time :)

the promo looks intersting. Dil Chahta Hai with midlife crisis. but what about Farhan’s terrible voice ??

  12. oz on June 24th, 2008 9:20 am

Phoenixnu, I actually like how Farhan’s voice isn’t pumped up for the cine screen. It sounds “real” and very natural and the strain/frustration in the one scene where he talks about compromising in life was quite transparent because of the texture (don’t have a better word) of his voice. But from the looks of it, it looks like Arjun Rampal will steal the show.

  13. Aniruddha on June 24th, 2008 9:20 am

Seems Farhan Akhtar loves Brian Johnson @ AC DC..lolz ;)

  14. Aniruddha on June 24th, 2008 9:25 am

I agree with Oz bhai…that his voice looks real. And I was fairly surprised to see Farhan Akhtar perform @ confrontation scene. I thought even in those given 5 secs of the promo, he was pretty good.

And off course Arjun Rampal really looks like a rockstar.

Also, Luke Kenny and Purav Kohli. I think Luke Kenny will be the surprise package.

  15. Neeraja on June 24th, 2008 9:38 am

Farhan Akhtar looks good but didn’t find the promo that exciting.

    @Oz
Arjun Rampal? Seriously? With his awkward and flowless dialogue delivery?

  16. Santosh Kumar T K on June 24th, 2008 1:14 pm

    Oz bhai,

texture (don’t have a better word) of his voice…

    main boloon?

    grain! :)

Don’t hold me to it though

  17. Santosh Kumar T K on June 24th, 2008 1:20 pm

The last four lines of the track (towards the end) sound very much like a 90s TV advert jingle… remove these words, and you can imagine an Eveready battery, or a bike ad, or a hair cream to this music ;) ;)

  18. Tejas on June 24th, 2008 3:00 pm

Paanch set a very high standard for rock music in Hindi cinema. Let’s see if this one meets that standard.

  19. Jateen Gandhi on June 25th, 2008 6:51 pm

    who is abhishek kapoor?

  20. Tushar on June 25th, 2008 7:15 pm

    not me.

  21. dabba on June 25th, 2008 7:58 pm

    @ 19 -
the bastard scion of Bollywood’s two royal families.

  22. Aditya on June 25th, 2008 8:23 pm

Is Abhishek Kapoor the same guy who was also known as Gattu, is Jeetendra’s nephew, was Twinkle Khanna’s boy friend, and made a disatrous debiut with her in a film very aptly called Ufffffffff…..?

  23. Tushar on June 25th, 2008 9:13 pm

Uff…ye mohabbat. nice songs. diwani diwani and teri lagan lagi.
