This Shoe does Bite

Percept has got an injunction from the Delhi High Court, stopping the UTV’s project starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shoebite. Supposedly Shoojit Sircar ( director of Yahaan ) was supposed to make “Johnny Walker” with Percept. Didn’t happen. Taking the same script, Sircar started the project with UTV under the title “Shoebite”. Now Percept claims intellectual property rights over the original script. Court agrees. Passes order. Shooting stopped. Now what would M. Night Shyamalan be thinking? Apparently Shoebite is one of the first scripts he ever wrote that never got made!

OMG! but, isn’t shoebite shoot over!! last i heard was that the first edit is 3 and a half hours long..and Soojit was trying to trim the film with Renzil. The Shymalan angle seems to be interesting though.

Yes. Its a copy of Shyamalam’s 1st script out of film school. I read it last year. Every studio has a copy of it. Its perfect for Big B.
LABOR OF LOVE is the story of a old man whose wife dies in a freak car accident. And the Old man walks from east coast to the small beach town where his wife was born in bad health. His family & cops are trying their best to stop him. Its a interesting road movie.
It would have been a flop in Hollywood & FOX wisely stayed away from it. But when you put Big B in that role, it works. It will be the Cheeni Kum of this year.

      ***********

But its funny how they copied his script & are fighting over it. And no one is admitting that its Shyamalam’s Script.
