I thought he was amazing in Into The Wild. But look at this – it’s so different. There he was so vulnerable wanting to adopt a son, and here he’s giving everything he has to fight!
Fantastic! I am loving this influx of movies where the protagonist is an old man, who can fight for himself (and others, in the case of Gran Torino). I think it takes realism to a new level. The experience of the old man has been ignored by filmmakers for way too long.
