A home entertainment release for February 2010,Sony Pictures brings back Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren for Universal Soldier: Regeneration.I presume this does not have a theatrical release.Only on DVDs and Blu-Ray.Two things in it-We are back in the 90s action genre and why will this movie not receive theatrical opening?Is this the future-direct DVD/Blu-Ray releases?

DTVs are common now but this doesn’t look like one for DTV. Should have got theatrical release because the production values look decent enough. Trailer reminds me the trailers of 90s era.

Seems like this has ignored the 2nd movie. Having seen the other 2 in the series may go for it, if ever I got my hand on this but if I’ve to watch the veteran action heroes in action again, I would rather prefer Sly Stallone’s forthcoming The Expendables.

I guess that will all change with THE EXPENDABLES (2010). Probably this mother of all action flicks shall give people a wonderful trip down the 80s lane – and what better than getting to watch Stallone-Arnold-Bruce on one frame. Its movie magik I say!
Add to that Dolph, Jet Li, JAson Stathom, ERic Roberts, Mickey Rourke. Basically anyone who can pack a punch.
So it was pretty a dampening to know that Van Damme opted out of it…or it would have been so cool…ah well, u cant have it all.
But this is pretty much close to having it ALL, i say.
