    I like it…this is how a teaser should be cut..tells you exactly what you would expect or not expect from the movie..very crisp.

    RK looks like a very good casting..Supriya Pathak after a long wait..hmm interesting..could as well turn out to be as good as her sis Ratna in Jaane Tu…

    Eagerly waiting for this movie and the sound track!

    Not very impressed, to be really honest. Dunno what others found ‘cutting edge’ in the promo – I saw it quite a few times, but didn’t feel any different :notsure: Supriya Pathak I guess is the only bright spot there :) And hopefully the rest of the OST is more inventive. The “Wake up Sid” in the background sounds pretty RockOn-ish to me…

    I did like the trailer.Of course there are comparisons with other movies including Lakshya.but atleast the trailer does its job- i.e it does give you a sneak peek into what the movie is & for that its a more than decent job.
    The casting looks quite good.Hope the movie turns out to be quite good too.

    @Magik – Now what to say…you summed it up by putting our conversation in the comment box. All I can say is..A little bit of lakshya in ranbeer’s eye, A little bit of DDLJ is KJO’s mind..a little bit of DCH in Heero’s heart…a little bit of Hero No 1, Wakes up Sid.

    DDLJ (Anupam to SRK), Hero No 1 (KAdar Khan to Govinda), DCH (Aamirs dad to Aamir) and Lakshya (Bamman to Hritik)..have almost same situation wherein Dad’s asks the son to join office. Ranbeer looks a copy of Hritik’s first half in lakshya.

    Some masala / songs / comedy / romance / and at the end a responsible son / husband / lover / frined..and the movie is done. This is how Sid wakes up.

    Its sad to see the trailer of a much awaited movie. Such is life…such is bollywood.

      I can’t generalize like that (waiting direly for rave kaminapanti on Aug 14), but the trailer is depressing – nothing new, makes the movie look so typical, was expecting more after Anurag raved about the script – wee chance that the trailer is misleading to draw in that weekend initial?

    the more subtle a coming of age movie is, the better…Lakshya is a good example..Wake Up Sid is too in your face..maybe it works for some folks..The fresh casting should work well, but would have loved to see a younger actress essay the role – may Sahana or Genelia, perhaps..KoKo has already done enuf of this kinda stuff before…

    This does seem to be a movie about coming of age and such stuff, but I’m intrigued by Konkana being cast opposite Ranbir. This should work, and I guess we’ll see a lot more of that kid sitting next to Ranbir.

    ya looks like an awsome coming of age drama espcially with anurag’s comments on it .bisexuality now where did you get that idea from nikhil . yayaer , i did ratger wait for Wake up sid to release . It reminded me of the simplicity of Taare zameen par . Good to see Namit Das & Supriya Kapur in the cast .

      Ok, just wait and watch. Read your views that this is the movie which got high points from both anurag kashyap and karan johar. But I don’t know what has happened to the taste of Anurag Sir in rating of the films. Seems he has diluted his standards after becoming part of the hotch potch culture of bollywood. Guys who write officially at pfc must be knowing him in flesh and blood but for me I had his only image created by his one article.
