Movie is pretty lengthy, typical Gowarikar style but has got good reviews from its TIFF premiere.

here is my bet…. I think harman baweja will make it big… either as a star, or an Abhay Deol or a third league altogether… why do I say this? cuz of all the new comers he seems to be the most khamosh, underhyped dignified, and silently doing his work kinds…. and for all the negative publicity, the minute he does one good flick things are going to turn positive for him in respect to media, while all the HYPED up guys will be on the “sui ki nok” … after all in our cinemas, an actors acting is not the only thing that counts na…

one of these days some director will get it right… after all so many directors have taken the “SRK” out of actors for 15 yrs now… Shahid toh was a pakka SRK copy… now he’s better… but no distinct style of his still… come to think of it, even Hrithik had the SRK hangover in movies like Yaadein (the SRK made famous talking style… hey sonia sonia sonia, repeat everything a few times more than required…) Harman ka benefit is that he is on ground zero right now, he can only look up, and an AG on the resume and producer father, and Ajay Devgan as Dad’s pal can make a lot of difference…

The deal with Harman is that he is definately a recognised ‘face’ now (pun unintended) …negatively hi sahi … hai toh …he’s not even as hyped as Neil Nitin Mukesh, forget Ranbir, Imran and gang… he looks dignified, got the right girlfriend (or ex) … he’s got almost everything right to be on the right section of press, media and social circles and as I said ground zero… while ranbir and Imran can fall from the willis tower where they ve been pushed up to… all he needs is a hit and a good director, and he ‘ll maybe progress like Saif with a bit of KHNK, and Being Cyrus (not the literal examples, but more or less small and big cinemas)

I am happy there exist only 12 Rashee’s otherwise it would have been a day long film :P or ‘n’ versions of what’s your rashee !!. I am thankful to AG that he didnt give Harman baweja 12 diff looks. Any guesses why ? he would have looked and acted in same way in all the Rashee’s.

BTW… AG showed that he needs Big Stars (Aamir.SRK,Hritik,A.R) to carry his marathon movies !!

Hmmm… death can be such a question arising event even till late in future…. SO! do we think if Sanjeev Kumaar was still alive, then Naseeruddin Shah would ve been the solo reciever of all the accolades and the importance that he has (read some where NS was the yang of Big B’s Ying)

if Smitha patil was alive would Shabana Azmi be in the enviable spot today?

if Divya bharti was alive, what were the chances of DDLJ having her instead of kajol, and history might ve been written differently

hmmmmmmmmmm … none of it means anything or is to take away from what these super achievers have achieved, but just a romantic thought kinds… :)

I had zero expectations from the movie. To mu surprise Harman Acts, but he does not have anything to do so much, but much better than love story 2050.
Priyanka does a good job and man she looks ravishing.
The soundtrack bu Sohail is only average, given Ashu,s past Soundtracks, this is a let down.
The title track and Sue Che were best among the tracks.
The movie after a time gets repeatitive, the duration of movie is 3 hours ten minutes.

The movie to my surprise is not at all romantic comedy. it has Ashu,s stamp all over.

AG has lost it. He has become a self-involved-I-am-a-master megalomaniac. O god, what torture. Sad to see somebody who made Lagaan and Swades could make this lengthy, energy sapping affair. barring couple of songs, rest were forced, mediocre tunes. Priyanka is good in part, Harman starts awkwardly but then becomes likable. Rest of the cast does usual, tv serial type acting. Rahman was sorely missed. AG, man, if your next movie is not below 3 hours, I am going to file a public litigation against you! not kidding.

    A lovely movie.

You could say it’s Gowariker’s ode to Indian womanhood. He takes you to so many interesting places and characters. It needs a relaxed mindset to enjoy this movie, so very different from the hyper-edited romcoms in vogue. And it’s hilarious all through. One of the funniest movies of the year.

Priyanka Chopra is making some very interesting choices. Kaminey earlier, now this. And Hurman has done a pretty decent job here.

I’m horrified by the way the critics have mauled it. Either it’s a conspiracy or they are thoroughly cinematically challenged.

After the movie finished, I looked around to see the other audiences, It didn’t occur to me that any girl in the theatre (in my view) looked like the girls in the movie, even parents seem to be quite different.Isn’t it ironic that the people who are depicted in the movie don’t even bother to watch it.
