When PFC-USA went Guerrilla mode

Last Friday PFC-ites from Washington, San Francisco and Los Angeles flew down to HQ. Amidst loads of beer, tea, DVDs they got hold of a camera and went to Guerrilla filming mode to shoot two short films for the heck and fun of it within the HQ. On my return from work on Saturday evening, I found the HQ - my humble hut, had been converted into a studio. The closet was flung open to get characters’ dresses, the kitchen for makeup, all bulbs in the house were now at a weird angle… I guess for lightening effect, I’m still trying to locate my dining table (where are you?), the rose bushes now protrude at some weird contrived angles and for the first time, the quiet HQ was served a notice by the neighborhood for breaking the peace.

QUIET??? Hell no… it was one rocking hell of a place to be. On my return in the evening, it was a pleasant surprised to see what the guys had done… a short on PFC…. :) Check it out… it was conceived, written, shot in a matter of 2 - 3 hours, after which sometime was spent on editing it…

The camera as usual was handled by Saurabh Dixit, without whom nothing can get shot in California.
The cast is made up of OM, Vijay and Striker
Editing done by Vijay

You need QuickTime to be able to view the movie.

    Vijay - hmmmm

OM - u rock maaan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing … tooo good to see u in such a role. Maza aa gaya

    The ad was toooo good.

    Was missing OZ :(( :(( :((

  8. OM on June 25th, 2007 8:40 am

Hahah….omg…it feels sooo awkward…what a horrible actor i am….esssshhhh…It was fun shooting it all though….Can you belive we had 17-18 takes for this one ad.

AK…can i get a role in you new film? ;)

    hahaha….Vijay rocked….

There was this one dialog where he says…” Why are you doing all this naughty bizzness” damn cheesy and hillarious…but, we fucked up with continuity in that one , so cudnt put it in the last edit.

There is nothing like failure…only learning processes

KK…oz is in the next short….hold your breath

  9. striker on June 25th, 2007 8:49 am

kk i blame the editor.. hehe.. jk.. like OM said, we had a few other good shots of each of us, which didn’t make it past the cutting floor due to continuity glitches.. but a film like this is best done cheezy.. so i still stand by it :) maza aa gaya! [fun came went]

  10. oz on June 25th, 2007 8:49 am

    Thanks Guys.

KK, I had to do OM’s role in the second film cause he was too drunk and couldn’t get his two lines right.

Anurag, very cheezy tag line. please see me after class.

  11. Honhaar Goonda on June 25th, 2007 8:51 am

There should have been that Nana Patekar’s dialogue “deemak ke peeche marna nahi…..” (- something like that) when Vijay slapped you.

Striker had a great opportunity…. to give you a solid slap! Consider yerself lucky.

  12. OM on June 25th, 2007 8:53 am

btw…Saurabh is amazing….so full of energy and always ready to experiment….it is such a pleasure to work with Saurabh…constantly on the roll and keeps encouraging all the time….

  13. OM on June 25th, 2007 8:54 am

@HG bhaiyaa…i got hit so many times..that their was point when i said ” Mein Kaun hoon? Mein Kahan hoon?”

  14. Honhaar Goonda on June 25th, 2007 8:55 am

Are we going to get see the bloopers? I know it is only 90 seconds long, but there must be some bloopers…

  15. Vijay on June 25th, 2007 8:59 am

Tons of bloopers. Not sure how much of it I digitized onto Oz’s computer. Saurabh has the tape with all of them.

  16. striker on June 25th, 2007 10:02 am

guys, three cheers to saurabh, fenderbender, and t! for being the behind-the-scenes backbone in this shoot.. awesome support system =D>

  17. Tushar on June 25th, 2007 11:06 am

Saurabh, you can finally say you guys do something productive too when you gang up :)
and ya, very well shot, give more details about the finer aspects if you can.

Striker, kya baat hai yaar! you do all the ‘Hero’ bits with ease, cant wait to see more of your stuff.

OM Bhai, terrific act, very natural.

Vijay Bhai! aapki screen space ye dono kyun khaa gaye!!:-w

amazing stuff guys, it reminded me of a scene from Jodi No 1 though, except that it had lots of ‘beating up the guy on the pot’ involved :d

  18. Vijay on June 25th, 2007 11:17 am

@Tushar, kya karein yaar? Editor saala mere saare ache scenes kaat diya. Bahut harami aadmi hai. [Editor brother-in-law my all good scenes cutting. Very bastard man]

  19. Tushar on June 25th, 2007 11:26 am

  22. Vijay on June 25th, 2007 3:29 pm

    Did anyone catch the references?

  23. striker on June 25th, 2007 4:28 pm

some behind the scenes trivia.. we even made fun of anurag.. there was a scene where OM puts a cigarette in his mouth while he’s nervous, and i grab it out of his mouth and vijay says “noooo smoking”.. it was such a hilarious shot.. unfortunately it was one of the few shots that fell victim to continuity errors :((

  24. Saurabh Dixit on June 25th, 2007 5:03 pm

    Ha ha ha ha lol

    Great edit Vijay bhai…

Finally I managed to reach San Jose after a long 18 hrs journey from LA. I think I and febderbender can go for some book of records for the longest journey between LA to San Jose.

Now back to movie. Great work everyone… OM, “Yeh kya ho raha hai” was best in the first take, but you did a good job considering first timers. :D

Vijay Bhai…maza aagaya, both edit and acting. I still dont know what was the continuity problem.. Let me know ppl.

Apna Hero Striker…It was a great fun to shoot ya Man…This is was a bit too formal..lol
Loved it man, you will sitting with Mani Sir very soon. ;)

    Today was great fun too.
Me striker & Oz saw A MIGHTY HEART. There are movies which are not the best movies ever made. But when you see them you know this is the best that can be done with it. It cannot be done better. Loved everything about the film. Winterboom is definitely one of my favorite filmmaker right now. Watch NINE SONGS to know why :)

    Aite then,

This is some first piece of official work done by my bro OM and his team. Though there are some lurid acting skills displayed by OM, the theme looks gr8.
And believe me guys I’ve seen OM perform ever since i was a child, and believe me, he can do a much better job than what he has done here. And the MIB were gud, especially the Sunglasses guy, gud job dude……And OM im expecting some gud work from u the nxt time aite……

    Peace out PFC’ites
