Why do you want to watch DEV D?
It happened somewhere this week. I have given up riding the bike for quite some time now. I love taking the red bus. Putting on the i-Pod, taking a walk, the dust, the village now intruded by urbanity, the stares, the shades, the town appears slowly on the highway, and somewhere along all this PAAYALIYA kicks in, and I become DEV D!
So ya, in other words, WHY DO YOU WANNA WATCH DEV D??

1. It is an ANURAG KASHYAP FILM.
2. It is intriguing from the day I heard about it, I hated the idea at first, at second, at third…
3. It has a kick-ass soundtrack.
4. It takes the theme of cyber sex, pornography, urban-rural-development-divide.
5. Looking at all the hype, I wanted to push it to the weekdays, but for some strange reason, I can’t feel any more ecstatic now that I have booked my tickets for it!

beside the obvious reasons of (1)&(3)..it has Abhay Deol & I feel it wud b the first time that his performace wud get a lot of mainstream attention..then,the idea itself looks very interesting & i want to see what has Anurag Kashyap come up with after No Smoking..good luck

Guess what? I was trying to book in Inox on Tuesday.. it wasn’t there… I tried PVR..No luck then I switched to Bookmyshow site and Rex turned up.. I did not believe it. Fucking Rex, where I spent my every weekend of teenage watching repeats of mindless and some real movies. Rex along with Symphony have been mecca for me and It’s gonna be some fucking nostalgic trip to step into Rex after 8 long years… Oh fuck I am so excited… I am so happy for the coincidence that Dev.D is the movie to take me there….
@Vee, I was so mad I booked the first thing I could think of. So Vision it was, for me. Waise REX would have been great fun, will do it this weekend for the second watch with friends. I keep films aside for REX each year, saw JBJ, Tashan, Bunty aur Babli, Dhoom, all them films there. Symphony is all gone now..
Fucking can’t believe Nikhat giving it 5 in TOI. She say ‘coming-of-age’ .. Well, I would like to call her reviews ‘coming-of-age’ after eons…

I want to see this new take on the old Devdas. Hope he re-creates the rawness of black friday. Being a hopeless romantic…want to see how AK does it. EA to hit hai hi baaki music sunna hai parde par.

And i always watch films when all hype dies and madness gets over and till then keep myself blind to all review because most of them contain spoilers and that too without warning.

Been keeping my fingers crossed all this while. And was really surprised to see TOI giving it a 5-star rating.
Here at office everyones keen on watching the movie over the weekend itself. But the darned multiplexes are not screening it. That’s really gonna deter it to an extent. I hope word of mouth publicity keeps it strong into next week.
I will be watching it tomorrow morning.
