Wolverine Hangover Salvation
When one has a great line never take it for granted and mouth it at the most inappropriate moment. Even a “you talkin to me…” should be discreetly used for maximum impact cause it’s too popular and everyone has something to say to someone. And when you have a line like this.
“I’m the best there is at what I do. But what I do best isn’t very nice.”
You don’t screw this line for anything. But then the moment Logan mouths this to the love of his life in a very unlikely domestic moment in the film, It was all downhill from there for me….A great line wasted, an opportunity lost and that’s exactly what happened to this ambitious attempt to dig into the Origins of this great X-Man.
Likewise another great line was screwed up in another very successful franchise sans the Governor this time. The Terminator after this might….. “Never be back”
Was the task of these mega screw ups given to the Baby-Men who go to party at Vegas. Well if yes, then in this case WHAT HAPPENED IN VEGAS DID NOT STAY IN VEGAS.
This Hangover was hanging UP as the Number 2 Grosser last weekend I guess. They had no icons but these Baby-Men did cream the Mutants and the World Savers and how.
One of the most entertaining films I had seen in recent times. The Hangover pounded my jaws pretty hard.
When I go to pee in the aftermath of a totally tully party I expect to see only one TIGER, the one I am holding in my hand, not the real big cat. I most definitely prefer to skip my morning brush than stare into the mirror checking my missing tooth and with that headache on….I don’t want to go searching for the friend for whom the party was.
I started with writing screwing up great lines when I am Hungover big-time on a screw UP film. “Fat Jesus!!!!!”
Fat Jesus takes me to my star of the film Zach Galifianakis.
He gives deadpan a good name. He gives uncouth a good name. He gives filth a good name. He gives Fat People a good name.
He has the audacity to pee in Mike Tyson’s swimming pool. He is the reason for the film. He wins his buddies $80,000 playing Black Jack and saves them from the gay puny Chinese Bad Guy who wants them to suck his Oriental Nuts.
I think I vomited too much of the film. Get drunk, pound your head over this Hangover. An aspirin is strictly not needed here.
The new “Baby-Men Mafia” of Judd Apathow, Seth Rogen, Kevin Smith, Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller (hmm….he too) and Todd Phillips (Road Trip (2000)) have really stirred my monsoon after the 2 mammoth disasters of Android and Mutant proportions .
